Hollinger doesn't really have a dog in the race. He's pretty objective at all times. Unlike some of the guys, who naturally have friendships or biases towards certain teams and players, Hollinger has no agenda.
Whether or not ESPN says so, I feel like these guys are all top 150-type talents: 1. Lin 2. Martin 3. Asik 4. Lamb 5. Parsons 6. Dmo 7. Tjo

I never got how they rank the rooks when they haven't played a game yet. Makes it really hard to judge how the league views them if they're all pegged in the 250s and under. Maybe just to non-rookies and have a scale of all the rookies and where, if they reach their potential/hype, they'd would end up on the rankings.

Marcus Morris Houston Rockets F | Age: 22 | Stats 2011 rank: 344 @MookMorris2 Niko Daza@nikstuhh Everybody projected Marcus Morris to be the better prospect between his brother, Markieff. Well, everybody was wrong. #NBArank[/rquoter]
Marcus may still be a better prospect than his brother. Both have a lot to prove about belonging in the NBA. Markieff got off to a better start because he got playing time, and it doesn't hurt to have one of the greatest floor generals of all time passing you the ball for wide open shots. Markieff got off to a hot start, but really cooled off. Markieff from February 1st on - 18.8mpg 7.4ppg 4.1rpg 1apg 38.7%FG 28.2%3Pt
Markieff looked awesome in summer league. He looked like he buffed up and was having his way scoring in the post.
idk why they rank rookies at all. they are clearly nonsensical with it. and in general. i doubt half of these guys even remember Marcus Morris. a number of them are quite random all around editors/writers who cover multitude of sports. and there's no time to do deeper research if you have to 'rate' 400 guys. they should just do the starters. maybe 6th 7th men too. leave the deep bench guys and rookies alone.
You have any proof of your accusation? Or just spouting off because you might not comprehend his concepts.
not sure why so many of you are freaking out about the basis of the ranking. to me its just a fun way to create some discussion or helpful for those who partake in fantasy basketball. if you dont like the rankings, just ignore them. if you're really bored, start a petition.
I'm not as interested in our new rocket's rankings, as most of them are unproven. I'm more interested in our ex-rocket rankings, the ones we let go of. Specifically Lowry and Dragic -- I'd still like to see them get their due, both played great last season.
