Yeah they will. The Rockets losing in the first round might've spelled the end for McHale as head coach. Losing like this has to be a one-way ticket out of town. You cannot bring the guy back after he basically blew the entire season because he let the one Blazer everyone knew you could've leave open get an uncontested 3-pointer.
McHale made everything wrong, bull ****ting all the time, look who he is going to blame now, I'm sure he will never say that he is responsible for anything. He has to go, he is wasting talents.

They don't have to fire him. His next year on his contract isn't guaranteed so we'd have to pick it up. We simply just don't make an action on it and he's gone.
I doubt it. If they fire him quickly, it could still take a week or so to happen. First I would imagine Morey will be speed-dialing other coaches and start putting feelers out there to see who's interested. And who wouldn't be? I'll bet more than a few coaches are sitting at home thinking they could've won this series in a walk.
if he has any shame, any speck of integrity….he'll just voluntarily announce his resignation on monday morning. however, even after being let go at minny he had the gall to retort that their front office had made a mistake. so i'm not expecting mchale to show any honor with us either.
I feel totally gratified that Mchale will no longer be a head coach of anything for a long a$$ time... We wonder why our players are so bball dumb...starts at the top...Whole coaching needs to be reevaluated...Morey must get ready to make a huge off season acquisition...and be prepared to loose both Lin and Asik over the course of the next season. This team needs discipline...they need structure, and they need plays...
