Who do you keep, Brooks or Martin?

Based on comments DM made this morning on 1560 about the lack of defense in the back court and to paraphrase said that they will either get better or be replaced. If you had to get rid of one who would you keep?

I'm keeping Martin personally. I think you can get more by packaging Brooks and another player than moving Martin. I also think that Brooks could be replaced by Lowry and someone could be brought in at as a back up that could score and allow us to upgrade our starting sf and back up center position. My only concern is Martin's inability to stay healthy.

Martin. He draws fouls and you have to have that in the playoffs.

Since we'll be getting both D-Wade and LeBron, this question is irrelevant.

Keep Martin and hope Lowry can be good enough. If you let Martin go, we don't have anything that can remotely replace him (unless we get something back in return for him that's better).

We don't need to trade either, Morey expects them to play better D.

But if I HAD to choose one, it would be Brooks, only because we have Lowry ready to take over the position. It's a matter of personnel.

I rather keep Martin, but Brooks is one of my favorite Rockets, so if he goes, I'm going to be shocked.

Either way, Lowry is gonna stay.

I'd rather stay with martin, plus Lowry has a better all-around game than Brooks ... IMO

Didn't yall hear? We are trading Brooks and the expiring contract of Yao and Battier for LeBron and Mo Williams.

    Williams/Lowry
    Martin/Budinger
    LeBron/Ariza
    Scola/Hill
    Miller/Camby

If you keep both, YOU MUST UPGRADE THE FRONTLINE VASTLY!!!

I propose Gerald Wallace...For Trevor Ariza and David Andersen...We might have to give them Jordan Hill instead of Andersen to get it through...:(

    Aaron Brooks
    Kevin Martin
    Gerald Wallace
    Luis Scola
    Yao Ming
    --------------------
    Kyle Lowry
    Chase Budinger
    Shane Battier
    Chuck Hayes (Jordan Hill)
    Brad Miller

We would be so scary. Gerald Wallace is a perfect fit.

He is an elite defender, gets to the line, grabs over 10 boards a game, and can now shoot the three semi-consistently(Better than Trevor)...

I might be prepared to let Trevor AND Jordan Hill go if it meant grabbing Gerald Wallace...

    GAWD !!!

    The offseason is here already...

    You keep them both.

You teach Martin the defensive schemes and rotations, and you insert Yao and a better backup Center and insist on a better committment to defense.

    And wallah....winner winner chicken dinner.

Oh, and you don't try to figure out Morey, he is always playing the fans or other teams....

Martin's problem on D is all you have to do to beat him is set one screen.

Insert yao in the paint, voila. problem solve. Most teams instantly goes into jump shooting mode.
