There may or may not be journalists involved (I don't know, I'm not a scientist), but noteworthy media companies, such as Huffington Post and Buzzfeed, are laying-off significant portions of their staff. This follows layoffs at media companies in 2018, such as Vice, Univision, newpapers, and others. I have no doubt many of these laid-off workers will follow in the footsteps of laid-off coal miners by "learning to code".
Stop being obtuse. More likely than not not, coal miners were asked to become long haul drivers rather than "coders".
And get paid by Mexico, just like trump promised. A win-win. Of course, celebrating a large number of American workers losing their jobs is what we have come to expect from the president of the United States and his followers...
If you think Journalist are the only ones going to be affected, think again. In less than one generation, more than half if not 80-90% of current jobs will not exist. I am just glad I will not face this (hopefully).
When SCWs hatefully attack laid off journalists with "Learn to Code", SCWs are dismayed snowflake-fully that their hate speech is recognized as such. Sad.
Which is funny given that Twitter completely ignored it when many of the blue checkmark journalists made tweets calling for the murder or assault of children just a week ago because they were wearing a hat and not responding to the 2 groups of racists who were attacking them. Apparently tweeting "learn to code" is hate speech when it is making fun of blue checkmarks but tweeting out that you want children thrown in a wood chipper is perfectly fine if you are a blue checkmark.
Journalists have tried to become the new priest caste, mistakenly trying to take on the roll of moral sharia police for the first-world. Oh you memed a frog. This is Haram. You used a pronoun. Haram. You said learn to code, Haram. Normal people, who have a grasp on reality, don't like being told what is OK and not OK. We had that, and they were called parents. This is why there is no pity for journalists. They have largely become moral busybodies and no one likes a moral busybody.

Hey, they have nothing to post since trump had to end his government shutdown after his vanity wall didn't fly (and as a diversion from the roger stone arrest). They have to create safe places to post in.
