I like the slow style. I think it lets us research more and it I find it easier to be able to find gems (such as Alfred Morris last year) because of the long wait but just my 2 cents. Maybe instead of 8 hours in between picks we can do 4 or 5?
The long wait makes me second guess myself like no other... it's really weird. I think I finally learned to get over it though.
If it wasn't for the long wait I wouldn't have drafted Helu knowing he'd be out all year and would have had a chance at Morris. One man's butthurt is another man's treasure.
How would this work for players that you trade for mid-season and then decide to keep. What draft slot do you lose for a situation like that?
The way we do it in my one league, is that player is slotted in the draft spot he was taken in, whether traded or not. So if he was picked in the 5th round and traded to you, you decide to keep him....he becomes your fifth round pick.
How about if you have two players drafted in the same round (I.e. two 1st round picks) --- I guess you can only keep one of them?
Fade, your good......... Keep coming up with different and weirder scenarios. I guess if that were to happen you would lose that rounds pick and the next round pick. So in your scenario, would lose a first and second round pick........ You keep throwing them in there, I keep knocking them out of the park..... Once again, not saying that is the way we are doing, just a method I have done before that works real well, but we could do just about anything if we keep the keepers.....
Two more hypos, Rook - (1) What if you (or someone else) drops a draft pick and then he gets picked back up? Example - Ziggy picks Manti Teo's girlfriend in round 10, then drops her week 3. Fade or Ziggy then pick her (back) up in week 8 and want to keep her for the next year. Does she count as a draft pick or a FA? (2) What if you have 2 FAs that you keep - does it cost you your 19th and 20th, then?
I will compile everything once we hear from everyone if they plan on being back and/or find replacements if necessary - then possibly put final parts together for one last majority rules vote. The one for sure thing is we will move to either Yahoo or ESPN... Still waiting to hear back from: Smeg Longhorn Jent
So the proposed options for the keeper are... No keepers Keep 1 and forfeit your 1st round pick No penalty for the keeper Keep 1 and forfeit the round you drafted that particular player in the previous season Are all of these still on the table?
I'm back in of course. NO to keepers. Do not like this at all. Should be a redraft every year. PLEASE change to another site but keep the format. Scoring is fine, just want to make sure and keep IDP for D. Slow draft or live is fine either way for me.
