This is more inspired from the Brave Wilderness thread where some people didn't know about the channel until it was linked. Thought there might be more YT channels that are worth checking out we could share.

I'm really into astronomy, cosmology, and just science stuff in particular so I'll probably be linking a ton of those YT channels.

    The Royal Institution

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYeF244yNGuFefuFKqxIAXw

They generally bring in leading experts in various fields of science and mathematics and break down the more complicated stuff so that a layman can understand. Most lectures typically range from 40-60 minutes with a 30-40 minutes Q&A session with the lecturers.

    Numberphile

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoxcjq-8xIDTYp3uz647V5A

Again various experts in the field of mathematics explain complicated math and their applicable uses to everyday life. For example I didn't know knot theory was so useful to understanding DNA.

    Periodic Videos

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtESv1e7ntJaLJYKIO1FoYw

Chemistry Professors at Nottingham University cover all the elements in the Periodic table and perform various chemistry experiments. It's meant to be a channel aimed more at middle school and high schoolers that maybe have a little interest in chemistry but don't exactly know what it all entails. Videos are generally shorter and not as in depth as the Royal Institution

    Sixty Symbols

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvBqzzvUBLCs8Y7Axb-jZew

They break down complicated physics in both quantum and classical theories. They explain the purpose of various mathematical symbols like Newton's constant big G, and Planck's constant among other topics. Again the videos are shorter in length than a lecture but are very informative to a layman.

    SETI Institute

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzQdkHKOTVT_chwgDcau4sg

Astronomy and Cosmology lectures from experts in different specific fields of astronomy. They bring in people that specialize in studying exoplanets from other solar systems. Experts that solely study the sun. Experts that study galaxy formation. Experts in the study of dark matter.

    DeepSkyVideos

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo-3ThNQmPmQSQL_L6Lx1_w

Astronomy and Cosmology experts that break down complicated astronomy topics for a layman. They also go to the various telescopes around the world we use to study the night sky. If only for the tour of the various telescopes, it's worth a watch.

    LaughFactory

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxyCzPY2pjAjrxoSYclpuLg

    Comedians that make you laugh.

    Audiotreetv

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWjmAUHmajb1-eo5WKk_22A

Recorded live studio sessions of various musicians.

    KEXP

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3I2GFN_F8WudD_2jUZbojA

Recorded live studio sessions of various musicians from the Seattle based radio channel.

    FitnessBlender

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiP6wD_tYlYLYh3agzbByWQ

Married couple out of Washington state that produce workout videos for you to follow. They do mixes of strength training, yoga, pilates and HIIT to try and keep your workouts from going stale. I like them when allergy season is bad for me and I can't really go outside to run or anything.

    The Last Harpy

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtBHNjsLzlU3QC6X5zA7R8A

Game of Thrones fan theories discussed at great length from both the book and TV series.

    ComicsExplained

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKxQmKgrkUv4S7P5w0pLayw

This guy breaks down the history of various comic book characters and keeps up with both DC and Marvel universe continuity so you don't have to. Also covers the biggest storylines from both DC and Marvel comics like the Infinity Gauntlet series or World War/Worldbreaker Hulk.

    Personally, mine are:
    Daym Drops
    Forensic Spider
    Cinemassacre
    Gaming Historian

And while they don't do much at all these days, Retroware had a fun history of Video games on their channel. It goes all the way into the 90's, but I'll post the first one in their series.

He hasn't put out much content lately. His ratio of subscribers to views is high because the videos take a ton of time to setup. I hope he isn't dead.
