    Just some FYI..

I keep all my electronics unplugged when not in use (IE TVs/DVD Players/Stereos/Computers/Game Systems/ ex..) Electronic pull power even when they are turned off.. The only things I leave plugged in all the time are my Cable boxes/Phones/Clocks and the major appliances.. I have a programmable thermostat that ranges between 82 and 77 degrees depending on the time of day.. I just moved from a 6 year old 3,300 sqft house into a 1,100 sqft 3rd story 5 year old apartment.. I topped out the house at $430.00 while I lived there and my most recent bill for the apartment is $230.00 with the same air condition settings..

I like the smaller apartment because the bill is smaller, but because it is an apartment the insulation, windows and the A/C unit aren’t as good as they could be, I also now have an ELECTRIC water heater and dryer  …Even though my electric bill is lower than my old house I still am loosing money because of the efficiency..

I moved into an apartment to be closer to my job and school for my fiancé, but when I build new a new house in a few years there is no doubt I’m going to be scrutinizing over the insulation, windows and cooling system…
