Might as well get it easier for people who want to see.

All Yao has to do is go "SCOREBOARD"

But it was a cool block.

Why, it was a good play by a little man.....but we won the game and Yao dominated, nothing to be ashamed of at all.

best part: who ever the commentator is, he was like "oh, that's a clean block, it's a clean block" while the video shows Yao holding his eye.. :D

    best comment from viewers:

"But I guess this is enough to make the Yao haters have an orgasm. " :D

okay I have a question which I can't answer by looking at the film.

Did he put his left hand in Yao's face and block with the right? Or did he block it then hit Yao in the face?

People are so gonna equate that with the Marbury crossover during Yao's first season in the league

Next time they call a foul on Yao on a block, he should just show this to the ref, as long as you get the ball, that is all that matters righ? Geez.

the only people who should be banned are people who desecrate or insults any member of the legendary championship teams.

or people who belittle the acomplishments of ralph sampson and that glorious team of the 80s that shocked the universe by beating the lakers in 5 on their own floor.

these people deserve to be 'swimming with the fishes'

No, the blocking hand (left) came down and scraped him. But it wasn't a clean block, only from the standpoint that that the refs didn't call it. Yao went straight up, Nate jumped into him, got him with the body and the arms, and then scraped him on the way down. Turn the play around, give Nate the ball, and if he initiates the contact into Yao in the same manner that he did defensively, from the offensive side, Yao gets called for the foul every time. Nate has great hops. We didn't need to see this play to know that. He gets put back dunks routinely in the lane over guys a foot or more taller than him. He's an incredible leaper. But honestly, Yao was inside the circle and went straight up. There is plenty of contact before the block to call a foul, not to mention the eye scrape afterward.

how can it be called a block when Yao's both hands are still on the ball and before he even jump? it should be called "knocked the ball away" or a "stripe".

So did it make it top 10 play last night on ESPN and how many times it showed it?

It was an amazing block, good play on Nate's part. Hopefully Yao learns to go strong every single time when he gets that close to the basket.
But there is certainly nothing to be shamed of. If a little guy can jump that high, it really doesnt matter how tall he is. It's just an amazing play on Nate's play. If it had been some other guy like Crawford or Qrich blocking, we probably wouldnt talk as much.

Yeah I vaguely recall one of the two Knicks' announcers (Kenny more likely) commented according to NBA rule book this should definitely be a foul, since the play wasn't finished when Robinson scraped Yao on the eye on the way down.

But hey, if this play/clip makes Yao haters have an orgasm so be it.

Thanks! I couldn't tell for sure which hand was leading the block and was trying to figure out at what point he was poked in the eye.
