I have a friend who has an old working Windows XP computer It is old and kind of slow but it works. She wants to repurpose it for her grandson I don't know if the games will play properly on it I don't think if i wiped it and reinstalled if Microsoft even has the updates anymore. What do you do with old but working tech? I recommended Charity/Donation maybe parts? Rocket River
Techno waste. Reimage it back to stock if possible and just have it connect to the internet with all the flash plugins installed and whatever else so her grandson can play games on the internet.
How old is the kid? There a tons of fantastic games that should run on an XP machine. Off the top of my head: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I & II, Age of Empires I & II
He is like 5 or 6 . . . .I figured some would be out there but the lack of ability to update etc Rocket River
That machine is perfectly optimized to run Minesweeper, Solitaire, and Hearts. It's a stretch, but SkiFree should work as well.
Back-up machine in case all your main ones die. Literally, that's the only thing it's good for - something to use in case of an emergency. That thing will do nothing well while sucking up a ****load of electricity.
add a new hard drive, graphics card, and upgrade it to windows 10. then, tell us how windows 10 works to see if we should upgrade also.
