This baseball team in Taiwan is going to use robot fans. What could possibly go wrong?

Easily. Like @Mr. Brightside I watch most games on mute. Well, I watch nearly all NATIONAL games on mute.

And the reason for that is the reason why I wouldn't miss crowds: I already don't get the experience of them. I get overwhelming commentary. Which I mute when it's not our guys commentating. I would love to have the option to just mute the commentary track in pro sports broadcasts. Sometimes, I'd want it, and sometimes, I'd just like to hear the raw sounds of the game and the arena/ballpark/stadium. Since I can't get that, I don't have much to miss.

Btw, it is possible with the right audio set up to remove the commentary track. Here's a thread on it:

The last post in the thread says "if you have mlb.tv, you can select only crowd noise for audio." Is that true? That would make MLB.tv and cutting the cable cord more enticing to me. Do other streaming sports plans have that option?

I could see Japanese teams having a Bring Your Sex Doll to the Game day ..
Get free admission with a sex doll to help make the stands look more crowded.

uh ... and, I might regret posting this idea

If we're trying to keep infections from spreading bringing a sex doll to a game might be a bad idea...
