He's saying that because if the Rockets beat GSW and then lose to the Bucks, he can say 'see I was right,' despite all of his arguments being about the Warriors. The other caveats ('in their current form', 'all main guys healthy') exist for similar reasons and are intentionally vague enough to defy clean categorization. Who is a 'main guy'? What is 'their current form'? Does Cousin's injury already invalidate the prediction? If they Warriors play a style 'holic doesn't approve of, is that no longer 'their current form'?

It is a classic hedge used by the insecure and the intellectually dishonest - caveat your opinion so heavily and so vaguely that you can't ever be proven definitively wrong. And if you are proven definitively wrong, just change the goalposts.

I think you grow with admitting you were wrong. He will never see the light this way.

everyone, @basketballholic is right, Maker is going to be better than Capela. Just imagine how good we would be if we had Maker instead of Capela. Sure Maker doesn't really dunk, nor can he rebound all that well. But he's really tall and sometimes blocks some shots - and that's better value than Capela who just scores, dunks, rebounds, blocks, and defends.

Why would someone who is already perfect need to grow?

Someone should either delete this thread or make sure it never lands on the homepage...

We'd be up by 40 if we had the Thongmaker.

And Anthony Randolph is better than both of them.

Wow. This is a tough one.

Ask me again in 20 years when Thon has enough of a sample size.

What you just wrote is not true. I advocated shared possessions, shared usage, and staggered floor minutes by another playmaker BEFORE we traded for Paul.

You distorted what I wrote them and you're doing it now. All you gotta do is search my posts for the term "another playmaker" and your will see that I harped on it, many times going back and forth with you while you distorted my position by implying I wanted to move Harden off the ball full time. Still at it I see.

The time and date stamps clearly show who keeps opening this thread back up.

Your shtick is the reason these guys keep it going. Oh and the fact that Maker is a scrub.

I don't know of that's going to be the case. I do know we need a guy at the 5 that can shoot 3's and switch defend on the perimeter while still being effective if posted up.

Like I have said repeatedly (over and over and over... while you still parse out only one part of what I said)
    .............

we need a center (and power forward) that can shoot 3's and SWITCH EFFECTIVELY while still being able to defend post ups adequately.

I don't think we can beat the bucks either. But I see no need to discuss that when I don't think we're going to get there.
