I know this is ways off, but I keep wondering if Harden will ever leave the Rockets. Granted there are many factors to this actually happening, but if the Rockets can't get out of the West I don't see him staying here.
Bruh, nobody wants to think about Harden possibly leaving. He still has a few years left on his extension and we're in the middle of a playoff series.
I think Harden and MDA did a good enough job and it will lure Free Agents. Both of them had a lot of questions that were answered: Harden's unselfishness and ball moving tendencies, and MDA style of coaching that shows that you can win in his system.
Any free agent can leave anywhere. Enjoy James Harden while you can and be happy that his best years will likely be in a Rockets uniform
it depends. i could see him leaving if he's on the tail end of his career and we haven't gone anywhere or if some future player takes his spot as the best player on the rockets.
We are in the middle of a series, the winner goes on to play the Warriors (Extremely Likely) for a chance at a championship. Why does this even cross your mind? I just hope we can win 3 more games against the Spurs for a shot at the Warriors because I think we can at the very least take them to the limit of a hard fought 6 or 7 game series.
He'll stick it out as long as he can. If the Rockets can't get it done, that will be on the front office. He'll only leave for a contender when he's on major decline imo. We're on the fringe of true contention. A step back by the Warriors in one form or another could open up the west. A lot of younger than me members may not remember but there have been two eras similar to what we are in now. The 90's Bulls with MJ, Pippen, and company. And the Lakers/Celtics domination of the 80's. Just about every year it was guaranteed one of those teams was going to win no matter what. But things happened that opened up opportunities for others that no one expected. Our 2nd finals appearance was one of those times, our Championship years were as well. Don't forget the 76ers Championship in the middle of the Magic/Bird rivalry. As well as the Bad Boy Pistons ending both the celtics and lakers for good. Stuff happens, it's sports. If the Rockets continue to build on what we have, we'll have our chance. It might happen, it might not, but it's happened when we never thought it would. So sit back and enjoy the NBA. Warriors suck, who wants to see more unnecessary high fives, bro hugs, and standing really close together in time outs anyways. And GS ruined that 90's remix of Run DMC's it's like that forever. Never want to hear that song again lol.
it's too much pressure for him to handle here. Tailored made team, offense, and coach and he still mentally collapses. This is not on the team, it's on him
That's strange, I didn't see u making these comments after game 1. This team wouldn't even be playing in the 2nd round right now if it weren't for him, gimme a ****ing break.
Of course he would. Morey is also just as likely to toss him in the dumpster as soon as his utility is spent. It's okay. Harden can be happy playing for other teams. Rockets can be happy using other players. It doesn't matter at all.
If there is no chance for a championship by the end of his contract then absolutely. We need to add another star player, need to have a real opportunity to win.
