My least favorite book that I have finished is probably Ender's Game. I read it based on the recommendations of many posters here, and I could not have been more disappointed. I thought every part with Ender in it was terrible, and the only parts I enjoyed were the sections about his siblings.

What was Jim Morrison's book of poetry called. I actually like the Doors(most of the time) but that book of poetry was some of the worst I've ever read.

Man, some of the books named here are great. Catch-22 I couldn't put down. Faulkner's great. Joyce -- well Joyce is a self-important egomaniacal fathead. Hawthorne is great though.

It's heard for me to come up with a worst book, because I'll stop reading if it's bad. There are a couple memorable ones though: Mao II by Don Delillo -- it had such a nice cover too. The Cloud (I think that was the name). I read it for a Philosophy of Sci-Fi class (the book was out of print, so the prof xeroxed his own copy for us). It had some interesting sci-fi stuff in it -- this cloud that was alive and had sentience as a unit together, but not separately. But, the prose was atrocious. Likely, it was a science-type that thought anyone could write a book. The whole book was people asking the protagonist, "Professor, do you know why x, y, z?" And, the professor, "why, yes I do. You see...." Terrible. I can't believe it had once found a publisher.
