Let's list how many teams have cap space to sign Dwight this summer straight up for Max.

    Team Total Salary 2013/2014
    ATL - $18,483,800
CHA - $40,420,327 - They will have to get creative.
    CLE - $32,594,120
    DET - $35,172,720
    HOU - $38,063,852
    MIL - $40,581,659
    NO - $34,957,332
PHI - $46,193,356 - They will have to get creative.
    SAC - $40,707,644
    SAS - $41,042,756
    UTA - $25,696,809

Any team with more than $38K total salary will need to get creative to sign Dwight. In this list, who do you think have the guts to sign a max player with issues. This is a guy who forced himself out of a small market team so small market teams would have to be eliminated. This means he just lowered his value.

ATL, CHA, DET, MIL, NO, SAC probably just got taken out of the equation.

This leaves HOU, NO, PHI, SAS and UTA in the mix.

NO probably not since they already have players in the 5 and 4 spot.

I don't think Dwight would want to sign with UTA. Just not a FA hotspot.

This leaves HOU, SAS, PHI, and of course the LAL in the hunt. I would say that he lowered his value quite a bit.

You'd like to think there are people in Dwight's ear saying this.

    And Dallas.

Just because HE slimmed his list to bigger markets that have better talent, does not mean his value has diminished.

Because the truth id, if he wanted to go to cha or no or min or anywhere that has the cap, that team would do it no hesitation.

LOL! well put. I would give ya rep if I could.

Dwight Howard is a huge talent. People can pick apart his flaws, but at the end of the day he is still a top tier player. And the Rockets ARE NOT going to be a championship contender without HIGH CEILING PLAYERS.

I am 100% in favor of the Rockets pursuing Dwight Howard. IF the Rockets are fortunate and lucky enough to be able to obtain him and he gets his long term contract, I think all of that "drama" will subside.

I would say there's he's sayin something something "hands" something something.... obviously mouthing off at Kupchak....

Someone on TNT or something was saying that he was yelling back at the officials... but obviously that ain't the case... Idk why everyone tries to hide the fact that this dude is just a TURD!

LOVED IT when SVG called him out to the media!

This dude is just such an immature worthless piece of crap, I wish people on this site would ease up on their level of desperation and realize this dude is NOT worth giving up your left nut for....

Oh well, I guess denial is more than just a river in Egypt....smh...

I am really disappointed at Howard's performance this past season. He has been an over-priced defensive specialist who could cost you the game when he became an offensive liability at the closing minutes. And don't even get me started on his miserable FG%. I'd keep Asik to be our center and save the money to go away a stud PF.

He wasn't looking at Kupchak when he was talking, he was talking back at the court he'd just left. Why would he be mad a Kupchak?

Asik is a good player but Dwight is a game changer. You're pretty much guaranteed playoffs with just him. Pair him up with Harden and you got yourself a contender.

I hate his crying and non stop drama as much as the next person but anyone who is saying they don't want Dwight is crazy.

I dont want dwight, i dont care how good he is, that negative attitude can be a poison to the rest of the team. Say D2 was with us last game in OKC, he would have given up when we were down 20, his negativity would have fed to the rest of the team and we probably would have lost that game by 30.

As someone who has played college ball, players like this have more of an affect on the team than most know or realize.

So will the Lakers fans remember this as Dwight's "Toronto game"?

Until he improve his ft, he will be a liability for the Rockets. Rockets do not has problem with scoring. If Howard get hack in Q4, he can just blow up a 20 points lead ez. Or if eveyone just hack him, the other team can easier blow the Rocket out.

If he sit out the entire 4th, then why sign him?

I don't see that at all, bro.... he's walking, walking, Kupchak pats him, he turns at starts mouthing off....

Kupchak is about the only guy of any significance within range to hear what he's sayin...
