why do people still smoke?

I mean, that's the most obvious answer. If there was no addictive drug, no one would do it.

 

that doesn't explain why people start though, just why they keep doing it.

 

This is a whole different ball of wax- how is this acceptable? That's 80 minutes a day on the company's dime.

 

at least. i know in my office you have to go to the top of the parking garage if you want to smoke.

 

Damn, average cost of a pack in NY is almost $13. Even in Texas, I can find better things to buy with $6 and change at the gas station, like a monster drink and a snickers bar.
