My favorite Oiler of All-Time is, without a doubt - LAMAR LATHON! It's not even close.

Favorite Texan? Slim pickin's, but I'll go with Aaron Glenn. I would have picked McGahee, but he's a Bill. :(

Who's yours? One from the Oilers and one from the Texans.

Eugene Seal, special teams demon. Childress & Matthews were studs as well.

When I was a kid, Earl & Stabler - I had a 4 ft. columbia blue stuffed snake.

Blaine Bishop, and I know he's borderline Oiler, but Steve McNair.

Also, I used to love to watch Ray Childress dominate his man. Unfortunately, I'm a little to young to have seen Earl in his glory days, I remember the luv ya blu days, but not many games.

how old are you guys? 10? or should the topic maybe read "favorite oiler, and by that i mean, since none of us are interested in being struck by lightening, we'll concede earl campbell is, of course, #1, so what i really mean is what oiler other than campbell is your favorite?"

if not, man, i'd hate to see some of your responses to, like, favorite van halen member: michael anthony, gary cherone, valerie bertinelli, the midgets who brought dave his bottle of jack....

It was Ray Childress. That is, until those Lawrence Marshall commercials:

    (ring) (ring) (ring)
    Hello?! .......(awkward pause) .........Lawrence Marshall!

Ray, stay away from the commecials! ;)

Wasn't Eugene retained off of the strike team? I believe the other one was Brent Pease.

Warren Moon, I swear no loss was ever his fault, he'd throw for 300+ yrds get us ahead and the DCordinator would go into the prevent and there goes the lead.

I don't really have a favorite Texan yet though, I like them all.

    Yeah, don't remember Pease though.

He used to wear a camo army helmet when they came out onto the field back in the House of Pain days. Good stuff.

House of Pain was cool. Johnny Meads, Al Smith, William Fuller, Sean Jones, etc.

Anyone remember big Doug Smith? That guy would give an interview and would sound like he was going to have a heart attack right then and there. How many breaks in the action where there while Smith lay on the turf trying to stretch out a hammy? In fact, Doug Smith was shot in the leg or something while he was still playing with the Oilers right?

I might be wrong, but after Moon left, I wanna say Pease was the backup to Carlson. Actually, that is wrong (was it Bucky Richardson that backed up Carlson?). I think Pease was the 3rd string QB for Moon and Carlson for a season or two.

Brent completed more passes to the defense than he did to the offense.

really?? he was a cleveland brown...that's how i'll always remember him.

no one asked who the best oiler of all time was...they asked who your favorite was. i'm 29 years old, which makes me older than most here. i have no real memories of earl tearing it up. i was in high school and late junior high when the oilers became competitive again.

besides..i find that the best or mot notable player on a team is usually not my favorite player.
