Yankees-Mets, ya gotta believe Who would have ever thought after those great Met collapses of the past 2 years. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
Right Finn! Actually I have always been a NY baseball fan as long as I can remember. I would love to see a "Subway Series" even though the rest of the US and the world could care less, but think about it... ...Who wants to really watch Seattle and NY/St. Louis in the World Series?? ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. RP, I've already jacked with a couple of Mets fans. If there is a subway series, it's gonna be FUN!!! YANKEESSS Mets can kiss my a** ------------------ 'Deeds, not words, shall speak me.'
I only like two things about baseball. Ken Griffey and the Yankees. I think alot of people would watch a Yankees and Mets matchup. GO YANKEES! ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Stupid threads & Stupid BBS names are not FUN! 2. Spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure are not FUN! 3. Conduct yourself in a FUN way! The Fun Police are Watching. Vote for the Rockets & Have FUN! REDSKINS SUCK!!!!!!!!
It must be nice to root for a team that can afford to buy any players they may need or have the cash to keep any players they have currently. I won't take any World Series championship seriously until they fix a very broken game. ------------------ Cheerleaders are just dancers who've gone r****ded. visit www.swirve.com
YEAH BABY!!! JUST ONE AWAY! Rocketman95, I agree baseball needs some kind of a cap or something. But u cant blame the Yankees for doing all they can to win a championship. Its not there fault there is no cap. Teams like Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves, Mets, Orioles, Indians, etc. spend a **** load of money also. But the Yankees know how to win along with spending money. ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Stupid threads & Stupid BBS names are not FUN! 2. Rock on baby!!! I agree with you too Rocketman95, baseball desperately needs a cap, but I also don't think the absence of a cap is entirely to blame. Look at the Orioles. They spend in excess of $80 million and suck!!! Also, the Yankee's weren't the best team in baseball(record wise) this season and have been tested by two good teams in the Athletics, who have a pretty low payroll, and the Mariners, who have a pretty talented team for the money they spend. Money can get good players, but the players still have to perform. Anyway, Clemens pitched great tonight. Can you believe it, almost a no-hitter and 15 strike outs!!! He also threw about 140 pitches, which is unheard of!!! What a great night, the Rockets win and The Rocket wins!! ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Amen RM95, this is getting ridiculous. The Yankees total salaries are almost equal to the GNP of a small country. The disparity in baseball could not be more visible. Its just ridiculous.
