Who would you draft with the first pick in a fantasy draft?

There are good arguments for the obvious top 3 choices.

    I rate them this way

    LeBron, Paul, Kobe.

Paul can lead the league in assists and steals.

Kobe and Lebron can lead the league in scoring and add plenty of assists and rebounds.

If I had to pick between the 3 of them I'd go Paul, Lebron (toss up really) and then Kobe.

Kobe has the least appeal IMO. You can get someone to fill your stat sheet in a similar way later in the draft. Personally I would draft Amare before Kobe, but I am crazy.

Lebron in the clear choice, IMO. In 3 of my Yahoo drafts, I got pick #1, #1 and #2, and ended up with Lebron in all of them.

While he doesn't have the glamour of the other pics, I don't see how you couldn't take Stoudemire with the #4 pick.

I would even consider him over Kobe with #3 pick (after Paul and James) since Stoudemire has forward and center eligibility.

You're absolutely not. Chris Paul is a no-brainer at 1st overall. In H2H, Lebron and Amare are about the same value, but you definitely have to go with Amare in Roto. Kobe's far behind at 4th.

Is it worth taking t-mac with a late first round pick with a 12 person league?

NO. Not if you're playing in a serious league. You could start thinking about him in uh... the seventh round, perhaps. And that's a gamble. He tanks your FG%, FT%, TOs and has horrible durability. Good player does not mean good fantasy player.
