    A story my dad likes to tell (too often) about when he was fired from a graphic designer job -- he shakes his boss' hand and says 'I want to thank you, sir, for firing me because I was too damned stupid to quit.' Now, I think about that story every time someone in the White House gets canned. They should have known better than to take the job in the first place. They should be relieved that they don't have it anymore. I don't know how many are smart enough to appreciate that fact, even in retrospect.

    Not good. She had a tough job, but I thought she did the best that she could with it. Not sure her replacement will be better...probably more in line with John Bolton's ideology since that seems to be where Trump is heading.

    Well, I don't like her, but I probably fear her philosophy and style less than most of the people Trump would put in there.

    I'd be surprised if that were the reason. She was already working for a world renowned sexual abuser. Why would the nomination of one more be a problem?

    I think she's planning a primary challenge in 2020. I think there will be at least a few legit challengers in 2020 for the republican nomination. Kasich and Flake are probably givens that they're going to run. I thought quite a while ago that Haley took this position to up her national profile and could make a run for it.

    I highly doubt this has anything to do with MeToo, or Trump, and more to do with John Bolton's grasp for more power. If you put someone like Bolton in with a president like Trump who creates these leadership vacuums, you are asking for someone like him to seize on gaining more power.

    I'm guessing she's tired of being overruled, or simply Trump is siding with Bolton who wants to put his own guy there in that seat. When you have an empty shell like Trump running the show, it allows for the "generals" to cannibalize each other to gain more power just like you see in third world countries.

    I have not liked some of the things she said prior to joining the administration but I have a lot of respect for her and how she handled herself once she joined the administration. She was one of the few in that administration that stood up for herself and what she believed was right, often times butting heads with the administration she worked for.

    If all Republicans in politics were similar to her, there would still be disagreements but I would not be as concerned about the future of the country.

    She adores Trump and he adores her, in his words she gets it.

    possible scenario:

    Trumpeteer-come-lately, Lindsay Graham, to be Trump's new AG;
    the Rep Gov of SC to appoint Haley as Graham's replacement

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...pentagon-chief-mattis-may-be-planning-to-quit

    Looks like Mattis will be next:

    “I had lunch with him two days ago. I have a very good relationship with him. It could be that he is. I think he’s sort of a Democrat, if you want to know the truth,” Trump said. “He may leave. I mean, at some point, everybody leaves. Everybody. People leave. That’s Washington.”

    Are the usual posters on here going to start attacking him now?
