I wonder if Ohio Senator Rob Portman caught some mistaken flak today.

Report: Ex-wife accuses Trump aide of abuse, White House defends him
http://wjla.com/news/nation-world/report-ex-wife-accuses-trump-aide-of-abuse-white-house-defends-him [/QUOTE] the first to defend Porter, on record, was his former boss, and a fellow Mormon, Orin Hatch, the Senator from Utah.

before this WH gig, Porter was the General Consul for Hatch, whose office had issued a statement on Tue, to the effect that

there was an “orchestrated campaign under way to discredit Rob,” w the innuendo that
the “orchestrators” were not the Porter’s ex-wives, but rather his opponents in the Trump universe.

Hatch can't fathom that a well-educated Mormon, from a good family, would commit such a despicable act
    as to punch his spouse

Also, it has been reported that John Kelly had known about this last Fall, when Porter could not get security clearance from the FBI. Porter had called both of his ex-wives to ask what they said to the FBI who was conducting the review of his application.

Also, it has been reported that
    • John Kelly had known about this last Fall, when Porter could not get security clearance from the FBI.
    • Porter had called both of his ex-wives to ask what they said to the FBI who was conducting the review of his application.

in view of this, the cynic in me says that John Kelly is a racist.
    • he would lie in order to smear a Black Congresswomen, who was speaking for the Black wife of a US soldier killed in Africa, whose account of the conversation w the dotard contradicts the dotard's version
    • he would sweep Rob Porter's dirt under the rug; can't fathom that a Harvard-education white man could engage in domestic violence

Rumors are that Orin Hatch's statement was actually edited by Hope Hicks.

Agree, but unfortunately this president and his close circle have failed at least a few of these sorts of tests...

He surrounded himself with the misfits and fringe of the GOP. Trump was not a candidate initially taken seriously in GOP circles and it was very hard for him to get people from the mainstream GOP to commit to his campaign. As a result he is surrounded with those shunned by the mainstream. So you have the vile and disgraceful leeches surrounding him.

The next creepy one to emerge? Hope Hicks. Confidant of Trump and his spawn. She has a history a dating abusive men (Lewindowski and now Porter), she busted out crying after Trump told her “You are the best piece of ass Lewindowski will ever have”... yet still works for the man. She also blurted out that Eric Trump’s e-mail’s would never be found. She also enjoys quite the reputation in certain circles.
