If Big Al is healthy, then it should undoubtedly be him. If not him, then Duncan should start at center.

Apparently new guys can't start threads so I'm posting this here, but I'm starting to wonder if PER actually means jack ****. I compared David Robinson to Olajuwon and Robinson actually dominates Hakeem in PER almost every year they were in the league (comparing same age or same year). But I doubt anyone on the planet could seriously claim Robinson was the better player. Check this out:

    Robinson Olajuwon
Season Age PER Season Age PER
    1984-85 22 21.1
    1985-86 23 24.2
    1989-90 24 26.3 1986-87 24 23.8
    1990-91 25 27.4 1987-88 25 23.4
    1991-92 26 27.5 1988-89 26 25.2
    1992-93 27 24.2 1989-90 27 24.1
    1993-94 28 30.7 1990-91 28 24.3
    1994-95 29 29.1 1991-92 29 23.7
    1995-96 30 29.4 1992-93 30 27.3
    1996-97 31 31 1993-94 31 25.3
    1997-98 32 27.8 1994-95 32 26
    1995-96 33 25.5

Those are their prime years. Keep in mind Robinson was in the Navy for two so he got a late start. For whatever reason Hollinger has ultimate faith in PER, but I'd have to say it's just another stat.
