I posted this in the previous vote thread..

No one did it, so I did. I went to 4 teams' forums who had nothing to do with the Rockets ex-players, coaches, rivalry, etc. Here are the results and quotes from an unbiased NBA fans...

    Minnesota

    Indiana

    Portland

    Philadelphia

The question on the previous thread was who IS the leader, not who's your favorite player, or who'd you LIKE to be the leader. Instead it became an (embarrassing) popularity contest whose results other NBA fans outside of Houston laugh at. Like I've been saying, I wish Lin, as floor general, would step up and become more of a vocal leader because he's a smart and emotional guy who'd know the right things to say. Unfortunately, his emotions also work against him and bring him down when he's not having a good game. And he hasn't stepped up, nor has the self confidence of a veteran to --- YET. (I think he will eventually). Until he or anyone else consistently steps up vocally, or we acquire a vet that grabs the reigns and guides the youngins, the leaders of a young and inexperienced team is the coach - (on the sidelines), and the best player - (on the floor). Sorry Lin fans I really do like a lot of u and don't mean to upset anyone, but the results of our vote needed a dose of reality... I hope we can put some of the Lin/Harden bashing for "leadership qualification" crap to rest.

Too long. Good effort. Didn't read. Didn't read the previous "leader" thread either.

But this season I'll have to go with Harden.

You could also factor in the fact if they are fans of only their respective team and don't follow any other teams, them they would most likely only know the allstars (Harden). I don't really think we have a true leader, but my best guess would be Harden

Not to be a downer or anything, but technically by asking other teams fans it's even more bias because they most likely don't follow other teams and only rely on name and status as shown in the comments. The most unbiased poll you can get is one that is randomly sampled amongst fans of the Rockets who follows and watches the Rockets game.

If that were the case, people would not have chosen Chandler Parsons as the 2nd option.

Then you need to take a poll at the Toyota Center I think for the most unbiased because anyone on here could be bias for different reasons. As many Knicks fans as I've seen on here, your point knocks many votes out AND of course we wouldn't know who voted once or 100+ times.

This is a no-branier. As the team is currently built, it goes only as far as Harden takes them.

Ahh OK so the 60 nonfans (who don't watch Rocket games) who voted for Harden are more legit then the 6000 clutchfans (who follow every Rocket game) who voted for Lin.

    Dude you're trying too hard.

That's why it needs to be randomly sampled.

The other poll was already corrected to be 1 vote per registered member.

You can't vote more than once by clearing browser history anymore.

Harden's winning by a sizable margin now. In before influx of new LOF members just to vote in the poll.

Or DMo getting any votes. I was just saying it could be a factor, not saying that's the complete reason.

    I don't get it?

Why wasn't Patterson a poll option?
