using non-scientists, Scavino and now Navarro, to attack the credibility of Dr. Fauci is the latest eg of the utter incompetence of the Trump WH. bluntly put, the only thing that Scavino and Navarro know about viruses is that they're don't understand it.
Are you telling me a man with a bachelor's in communications isn't someone we should listen about pandemic issues? Absurd.
are you also willing to call trump a liar for the things he has gotten wrong or straight up lied about?
the most recent eg of dachuda86 publicizing his utter ignorance, parroting convenient intellectually dishonest spin by the right wing media. my advise to dachuda86 is to think before he post for the education of dachuda86 it was in late Feb 2020, when the supply of PPE for healthcare workers (in Cali/NY) were running out. Jared Kushner---in competing w the states---was buying large supply of PPE and stockpiling them Fauci was asked if people should buy mask, his reply was no, in the time of PPE shortage, cos the healhtcare workers need them more.
When fauchi said you didn't need masks I knew he was full of it. What respiratory disease do mask not help with at least a little bit. If we was being forced to say that because of trump he should have quit. I am sure he has made enough money by this point. The WH is much worse, but fauchi has been kind of shady too.
I also knew that Fauci, the american CDC, the WHO and the EU CDCs were full of bullcrap. But they cant be accused of lying. There was NO reliable study that proved that masks protected from covid19. If there is no proof they cant be accused of lying. End of story. They are scientists not seers and Nostradamus. They all said other things that were wrong ..because there was no evidence. Presymptomatics cant infect others, asymptomatics cant infect others..fever is 100% symptom etc etc Once evidence was found and studies were made they changed it. Thats how science works.
Btw there are facts we have found also after studies that also seemed weird and strange at first and I dismissed them outright in the beginning. Blood type A makes you more vulnerable.. Pregnant women are less prone than other women.. Covid19 causes rashes and neurological conditions. All these things seemed strange and it took real studies to be accepted. Like masks, first you have to PROVE it. Fauci didnt lie and the WHO didnt lie.
Basically people like Dr. Fauci and WHO change their mind based on new science and Trump and the right change their mind based on politics?
No one has been perfect on this crisis and mistakes were made by many people. I can understand that. I will say again the bigger problem isn't that mistakes were made or that information changes it's the failure to take responsibility. It's fair to say Dr. Fauci was wrong and he has admitted he changed his views based on changing information. Compare that to the the President, who wields far more power and influence than Dr. Fauci, not admitting anything and continuously denying and deflecting. That's not leadership. That is petulance..
A lot of people don't understand that scientist and doctors can be wrong. When you are working off limited data (or no data) you can only make your best assumption. Fauci and other medics and scientists are still professionals and experts in their field of study. I don't know of anybody that has a perfect record of being right. The problem is that since their predictions were incorrect, people suddenly declared that as being unable to believe anything else they say. People don't understand that many times, to find the correct answer, mistakes are made along the way. This doesn't make that individual any less of an expert. Now if this expert is wrong, time and time and time again over a long period of time, then you can start questioning their judgement and whether that individual should be in a position of power. Fauci has been around for a long time and is a trusted expert in the field. It's very fair to question the experts and require them to interpret the findings for you, after all the verdict is on them to convince the significance of their research and findings. The problem is, that individuals want to pretend they know more than the experts when they have absolutely no expertise in the field of knowledge. If Trump would of been right on the Hydrochloriquine BS, then that would of simply been luck, unfortunately, his supporters would of hailed him as a savior.
LOL A lot of Republicans are lying, there is no way in hell 67% of Republicans trust Trump for accurate information on COVID19. They just don't care about Trump's comments on COVID19.
