What an odd question. Did anyone expect miraculous systemic change all at once?

Still, have you asked a Black person?
Some Black people I know are as fed up as ever but happy to have more people like myself acknowledging the depth of the problem. ... they say the greater level of white awareness feels like improvement already. People questioning cops and their immunity like never before.

there is also cynicism as to how long the awareness lasts.

Undeniably yes, imo. MeToo has also been a good thing for women. Neither movement is perfect but if it causes people to reassess their past behavior or think before they speak, progress has been made

Even more pertinent is George Floyd doesn't need BLM or Colin Kaepernick. The mobile phone camera has brought attention to each situation.

Absolutely yes. Companies and social media are more aware. LEOs are being held accountable more visibly and prosecutors are taking the death of black citizens much more seriously at least publicly now.

In all honesty, I know black people that feel this way and I also know black people that think this is all just bullshit.

the next iteration of this will be an escalation from entering residential neighborhoods to squatting in residences (claiming them as reparations) and daring owners/police to remove them

Isn't this the protest regarding USPS postmaster general?

Is this you using one line from some random BLM activists from another part of the country and painting any type of protest in the same framing of "looting is reprrations". Have you asked this specific person if he agrees with that statement?

If your prioritized concern is protestors protesting outside the house of a authority figure over that said authority figure by the orders of the president dismantling a service ingrained in our constitution for electioneering reasons, you are quite frankly an abject shitty American.

No, this is a BLM protest outside the home of a police officer.
