Since this is a basketball forum, I just decided I should start at least one sem-related basketball thread this week [IMG]. These have nothing to do with how GOOD the poster is... just the style. So if I compare you to Serge Zwikker... no offense! Sometimes I just used the type of player people seem to like...

Me: Allen Iverson - posts way too much, but scores too little [IMG]

Achebe: Sam Cassell - kind of wacky sometimes (like ET!), but great to watch, and a winner

Aelliot: Jason Kidd - this guy's efficiency scares me

Behad: Mark Cuban - this guy's is the god of consumer rights; and Cuban seems to look out for the average fan

Bobfinn*: clutch (the bear) because he always makes me laugh

Bob Rainey: JR Rider - gets all the attention, even when his game is absent

BrianKagy: John Stockton - might not always like what he says, but have to respect the way he says it

ChuckieBrownFanClub: Charles Barkley! Really... well, ok, Chucky Brown, but just this once.

Clutch: Shaq - he's the franchise [IMG]

DaDakota: Tim Duncan: it'd have to be a big man... and Duncan's DaDakota's wet dream: technically proficient, large, and smart. Oh, and he can rebound.

Heypartner: Gary Payton - always running his mouth, gets people going, seems in control and has major authority problems like the Glove [IMG]

JuanValdez: Ray Allen - I always forget about him, but usually agree with almost everything he says

Jeff: Vince Carter - dunno why really, just wanted to pick someone good [IMG]

mango: Charles Oakley -our enforcer... nuff said

Rimbaud: Matt Bullard - seldom shows up on the court, but seems like a really cool guy in the hangout forum

Rockhead: Jason Williams: think real hard about this one [IMG].

Rocketman95: Doug Christie - great defender (of Clinton), all-round poster

Rocket River: Cuttino Mobley - it took a while with his unusual posting style, but he really grows on you

Shanna: Karl Malone - sorry Shanna! But they're both terse, efficient, and always deliver

thacabbage: Hakeem - doesn't post as often as I'd like, anymore

The Cat: As much as I want to say Jason Collier, I think he's more like Shandon Anderson - good defense (of people), hard-working, and solid

TheFreak: Reggie Miller - just when you think you're safe, he nails you.

Vengeance: Shawn Marion - most improved poster of the year

ZRB: Dennis Rodman - kind of goes crazy sometimes, but a solid poster when he wants to be

I know I've left a lot of people off, but I was typing quickly! Hope people disagree [IMG].

LOL, haven, but given heypartner's correct assertion that I never post in the basketball threads anymore, I'm probably more like Jayson Williams. Lots of semi-interesting, smart-ass things to say, but no game whatsoever anymore. [IMG]

Mark Cuban? Hell yes! I'll take that AND his money!

Anybody have Stern's phone number? I have a complaint to lodge. [IMG]

Bingbong was set up, led to an untimely death in the prime of his life for no other reason than pure malice. Things like that do not go unavenged. Sometimes it spills out onto the field of play.

    Three more:

gr8-1: Robert Horry - makes good posts, but is very, very quiet about it

RichRocket: Anthony Mason - love his game on court... off-court, well, you know how we get along on the hangout forum [IMG]

SamCassell: Michael Finley - he's one of the most consistent, even tempered guys on the board

    Great list! Really awesome!

    poor SamCassell. Ignored again!!

and LynusWhatisHisNumber never gets mention. HOOP-T, A-train. RichRocket has been pouring it on lately.

let me dish out some more scores to get more people involved [IMG]

Will is Chris Webber ... all eyes are on him when he takes the floor, but who knows where he is going to next.

fatty fat fat is Two Sandwiches

R0ckets03 is Lisa Malosky (DoD made me say it) [IMG]

Dr of Dunk is Carlos Rogers...the biggest crack up in the locker room and looking to tip in any missed opportunity when out on the floor

Doc Rocket is Moses Malone ... who knows what the hell he is saying, but he sure draws a lot of attention and his speculation is usually spot on...."Fo Fo Fo"

haven: I don't do 14 year olds! And my criminal record is limited to 4 speeding tickets.

Anthony Mason- the forward who wears out his welcome everywhere he goes!!!!

Maybe I should be Mark Cuban and you David Stearn... I manage to offend you no matter what I do!

Sorry about the Anthony Mason thing... I had forgotten about the 14 year old. Was just going for the cantankerous part :p.

    HA!

my posting style is too diverse to be attributed to a single player.

I would have to agree with your assessment of rimmy haven, he is a scrub poster.

    Criscokidd:

Nah, you're not too elusive... I'd say Michael Jordan. Leaving us once in a while, but always coming back :p.

No, Crisco is like Oliver Miller.

Despite his weight problems, he keeps turning back up in the league.

I have just realized that the stakes are myself
    I have no other
ransom money, nothing to break or barter but my life
my spirit measured out, in bits, spread over
the roulette table, I recoup what I can
nothing else to shove under the nose of the maître de jeu
nothing to thrust out the window, no white flag
this flesh all I have to offer, to make the play with
this immediate head, what it comes up with, my move
as we slither over this go board, stepping always
    (we hope) between the lines
