Are the silver and black uniforms precursors to a redesign for our current home and road set? With the style, font difference and checkered sides? Maybe that explains why they're delaying the black's release until next year?
I just don't understand how anyone signed off on the clutch city one. Did they put it on a human at all before they hit print final? Does anyone like that one on DMo?
No more ketchup and mustard? We should've went back to more of a similar jersey of the championship years with the clutch city design. Not impressed. The ketchup and mustards were nice and now they're gone. At least they tried right?
Font and checkers and color on the Houston lettersis what kills it for me with the black jersey. They could've put a white border around red letters with a better or current font and it would look better and still be visible
Give me space tiles checkerboard over the candy canes or whatever Rocket-related thing they're supposed to be. Great font! Anything but the Chinese takeout font. I can see a white uniform like that. White in place of black. Red lettering & numbers instead of white. Leave the red on the arms, neck & shorts. OH MY! Gray isn't as bad as I thought but still. . .whatever. Don't care for it. Clutch City: I don't care for the sleeved uniforms. The previous years alternate (that says Houston) was a good jersey. This is a solid concept:
I like the black one. Honestly they're all okay, I like different uniforms, but I much prefer the alternates of last season over either the Clutch City or grey alternates. Annddd now, it's gone.
I think what happened here is the designers and decision makers stared at these jerseys so long that they became numb to the ugliness and actually thought they looked okay. They are not designers after all, just business people looking to make a buck. Why didn't they just leak some designs onto Clutchfans and ask for our input if they really cared so much about what we have to say? That fool in Marketing acted like WE designed and decided on that jersey! Wrong! Don't put that mistake on Clutchfans. He's basically saying if you don't like it its your own fault. We gave you what you wanted. That's not what we wanted. ... None of that is what we wanted. They blew it on all 3 and I hope Nike scraps this crap and lets some real designers put Houston back on the map with some respectable jerseys.
Can the Rox org just stop overthinking things and go back to the classic championship years look? The current design team sure as hell isn't going to come up with something better
They're all bad. The Clutch City jersey is one of the the worst jerseys I've ever seen. Silver is ok, but the sleeves ruin it. The black one is the best but still boring.
What's so bad about the Clutch City jersey? It's literally the same as this past year's alternate jersey except it says "Clutch City" instead of "Houston" and it has sleeves. The "look" of the jersey is the same.
