Donna Brazille and all the other DNC leadership in their bubble. They should have all resigned in disgrace.

It's actually quite amazing when you think about it. They are beyond corrupt to think that this will be business as usual after that mess. Losing all three branches and giving the GOP complete control of the government you'd think there would be more humility. It's obvious to everyone what needs to happen.

As of this moment, it's Bernie's party. It just sucks he is so old.

edit: Bern, Hill, and Don are all very old. As in any one of them could be seriously handicapped suddenly from a stroke, heart attack, and even cancer over the next 4 years.
Hell, Ron started showing his Alzheimers during his second term.

It's not to say old people cannot hold office, it's just that most presidents have been 15 to 20 years younger so the odds of randomly dying or becoming disabled were much lower.

We don't need Bernie to run for President again. We need him to stay in office and be the very visible and vocal conscience of the party.

after this unexpected defeat who steps up now? has there been any speculation on who will run or will the DNC need to figure out its leadership and path first?

it seems like elizabeth warren is an obvious choice to run. i'm wondering if any of these names have been mentioned?

    gavin newsom
    corey booker
    howard dean
    deval patrick
maybe one of the castro brothers if either continues to rise

Elizabeth Warren is very old. She should have run this year if she wanted to run. The Castro twins would be good choice it might make the Mexicans show up to vote and they are a sizeable population.

Warren will be 71 in the 2020 election.

A single year older (almost to the date) than Donald Trump is now.

    She's fine to run.

    What a bunch of bs.

When folks reach 40 or 50 and have their first major health problem or have their first job set back or foreclosure due to an economic downturn, they tend to grow out of their healthy young man "libertarianism". lol

I think it would be foolish for the Democrats to throw up another minority or female nominee for the near future and I think it will be at least a generation until another AA is able to win the presidency. For the large majority of rural people nothing a minority or woman can say will "speak to them". It's such a shame that Biden did not run. I think he would have easily won.

Clinton was a flawed candidate .... and so many that supported Obama and Sanders simply stayed home because Clinton just isn't trustworthy.

The party deliberately rigging the primaries in favor of that flawed candidate pissed off a lot of voters. The DNC sank this ship from the get go.

Add to the above the failure that is ACA (Obamacare) and the fact that the Dems don't represent the ideals of the middle class .... they are generally the party of the well to do or the impoverished & minorities whom they simply exploit every 4 years .... and the results are the same.

Its not surprising to me that they lost ....

Where do they go from here ?

How bout start with a dose of integrity.

Rigging the primaries (That in itself is unforgivable) in favor of an establishment candidate who you know you can buy and control was a fatal mistake in a year where people wanted an outsider , You had a perfectly viable one (even tho he has been in politics forever and a day) in Sanders.

How about stop telling us you support minorities while locking them up in private prisons ... yet have a separate set of rules for the wealthy or powerful - See Hillary: How does she violate a Congressional Subpoena and not suffer consequences ? Anyone else would have been buried under Leavenworth ....

Quit telling us you are for the poor and impoverished while Corporate America buys your soul .... (this one can go for both sides really).

Rather than supporting illegal immigration .... how about take care of our own people who are impoverished , un or under employed .... homeless , our veterans. We've got enough problems of our own that we don't need to take on anyone else's. With 30 million illegals , there isn't much question as to why Americans without a college degree cant find a decent career. Jobs that used to feed American families are now held by those illegals .... especially in the construction business.

Quit taxing us into oblivion .... especially the middle class.

Get us out of the middle east ....

Solve some problems for the people you are supposed to represent .... instead of making yourself rich.

Quit making every issue about race .... That's not solving anything , the real issue is economics.

For the record , I'm NOT a Dem or Rep , I consider myself part Constitutionist , part libertarian.

That's a very narrow view .... Young people have had a tendency to vote D for decades .... and vote R later in life.

    They have to simply FIGHT
They need to stop thinking "Being on the right side of history" (I truly dislike the phrase) is enough to win elections
They need to stop being p*ssies
Trump came to FIGHT . . not fight fair but TO FIGHT . . TO WIN . . . anything to WIN
and guess what . .. HE WON!!!

Demos are arrogant Lazy and take most of their constituencies for granted

This is the same thing that happened in 2000
they thought they had a slam dunk so they half assed it . . ..
