    The list could add Billy Cunningham (HOF player) and Lenny Wilkens (HOF, too) to that list. I can't believe the posters on this board forgetting about a certain Rockets coach who was very good shooter/scorer (a borderline all-star) in his career. How could they call themselves Rocket fans, not know this? He wasn't HOF, but a very good player.

    Absolutely not.

    My profile of a good coach would be the same as a profile of a great manager. Someone who is:

    really smart
    open-minded
    curious
    adaptive to emerging trends and technologies (can hire assistants who do this)
    personable
    and therefore knows a lot of people (so he knows the best assistants out there who will make him a better coach)
    media-savvy (that is very important in NCAA and this league)

    To me, there's only one guy who fits that profile in this league, and that's Erik Spoelstra.
