I am not going to debate how much Russians helped, as no one knows. However, as to Russian helping Trump, that is confirmed even by the Trump team, did Trump team have any communication with Russians? Who knows.

Like I said, feel free to keep pushing that excuse as to why Hillary lost, it'll do nothing but lead to more losses. Did the Russians hack Hillary? Sure, but that's not why she lost......and you know it even if you can't admit it due to political reasons.

I never said that was the only or even the major reason why Hillary lost, but that was one factor out of many.

It wasn't a significant factor and, again, you know it. The major factors were that she is an incredibly unlikable person who has been on every side of every issue over the last 20 years and had a terrible track record as Secretary of State that should have gotten her thrown in jail......and on top of that, she ran a terrible campaign that ignored several states that turned out to be important because she assumed they safely belonged to her.

Russia had nothing to do with any of that. That said, I already pointed out that I know you can't actually blame Hillary for anything because the party line is that it is Russia's fault, or the FBI director's fault, or Global Warming's fault, or whatever excuse they want to push at the moment.

I already said she ran a historically bad campaign and she was not a very good candidate, but she is better than Trump. Trump could destroy this country as we know it.

Okay......but that's no reason to make excuses for why she lost, if you remember, I said the same. Hillary was a spectacularly terrible candidate and I thought she was better than Trump (though not good enough for me to vote for her) but that doesn't mean the reason that she lost had anything to do with Russia, she lost because she was a spectacularly terrible candidate that ran a historically bad campaign and the people didn't support her where it was important (but she did run up the score in California, so there's that I guess).

Now that Trump has won, I'm just hoping for the best because there's nothing that can be done about it.

    Simple reason: it didn't happen.

recruit a bunch of white working class blue dog Dems to run for Congress, like Howard Dean and Rahm Emanuel did in 2006 to great effect

but they are stupid and they won't

This........ get someone with a populist strain. Someone that can go into places Rockford Illinois, and Scranton Pennsylvania; and communicate with the blue collar and lower class whites that litter the fly over states. The democrats no longer understand them, and no longer make them a priority and you are seeing the consequences. Having a little grease under your fingernails isn't a bad thing if you want to win elections.

However, I agree with you, the democrats won't do it. They will keep catering to the college educated and selective minorities; pulling us shop before hitting the trailer parks and Taco Bell's that litter the depressing Midwest and rust belt.

Not interested. The Chinese government and the Russian government, for that matter, can go **** themselves.

    (I assume you were joking!)

It just makes for a more enjoyable whistle-stop tour when you eat well and have high brow jokes over cocktails, dontcha know.

A populist, squeaky clean, Christian dude, with the Dem. policies, preaching WWJD, could beat Trump handily. And you guys are right, it won't happen.

We will prob. be at war in 2020 anyway and Trump will insist on canceling the elections.

Joe Biden could have run but he declined and Martin O'Malley did run but nobody cared. So this idea that it won't or can't happen is just the latest strain of post-election propaganda.

The activist route involves a bunch of grass roots organizing at the municipal level and kicking corporate Democrats out of the party.

The lazy route involves waiting for the Trump Republicans to inevitably bring the country crashing down in a flaming heap and then picking up where we left off.

Option 1 means you get to keep your iPhones and have dinner every night but you actually have to talk to people and blockwalk and stuff. Option 2 means less door knocking and social contact in general, but you may die of a treatable disease or in a pointless military conflict.

Be more inclusive. Let in more socialists, Marxists, communists, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Scientologists, gays, lesbians, trannies, broccoli, cauliflowers, cabbages. Seriously, your party is so fuccked it's not even funny. My advice to you guys is to blow it up and start from scratch. My condolences.
    RIP.

This kind of over the top rhetoric is just adorable in the same way it's adorable when a 5 year old talks about their imaginary friends or tries to describe things they don't fully grasp.

Just saying what? That you don't understand that I'm right? Trust me, I understand that.

Go full potato and defend the over the top rhetoric if you like, it's kind of pathetic, but I really won't mind.
