What seed do would you realistically want to have??

With the seeding changing everyday I would want us to be in the 4th seed with Portland in the 5th seed. Hopefully the spurs finish 1 and OKC and clippers finish 2 and 3. That would be ideal. Beat Portland then face San Antonio. I know the spurs have experience, but I would rather face them on the road than OKC on the road. This should be interesting. I can't wait for playoff basketball.

Portland is fading and it is going to be tough for them to pass either us or the Clips. That puts them at the 5 seed (or maybe even the 6 if GS overtakes them).

So we'll be at either 3 or 4. With the way the Clips are playing, the 4 seed is quite likely. I almost feel sorry for the Blazers, who we have consistently killed in the playoffs going back to '87. They must really hate us.

SA looks like the #1 seed. http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds
So as of now, all the stars are aligning in terms of matchups.

Whatever gets you a second round match up with San Antonio. You're either facing the thunder, Spurs or Clippers in the second round. Rather face the spurs.

Like the guys above said, I couldn't really care less what the number is, but give me the Spurs in round 2 and avoid the Clips and Thunder until the Conference Finals.

    This.

OKC runs the gauntlet of Memphis and LAC/GSW.
LAC runs the gauntlet of GSW and OKC/Memphis.

We take on Portland in the 1st round and the winner of Spurs/Dallas. We end up facing LAC/OKC only once, and there's a shot to get GSW in the finals (fuel for a potential rivalry and a very exciting series).

Would not be a huge surprise if GS ends up in the 5 seed. We'd have an easier time vs Portland but a Houston-GS 1st round series would be awesome to watch.

So you want to face Memphis/Dallas in the 1st vs the Blazers or GSW?

    Just asking...

The Spurs are being understimated...... they are gelling at the right time and turning it on for their playoff run....

The Rockets can beat or lose to every single seed 1-8. The West is that open and the Rockets are that talented and dangerous at times.

Who's underestimating the Spurs? The is about taking the least painful of 3 bad options.

I'd prefer the Rockets never meet OKC, the Clippers OR the Spurs to win the WC... however, since THAT isn't going to happen, then I'd probably want the Spurs, then OKC, then the Clippers in terms of preference.

We've played well against the Spurs all season. And at least we've shown to be able to play well against OKC. The Clippers just seem to be a match up nightmare.

There's a reason we got swept by OKC 4-0 this season. They're just a bad matchup for us.

There's also a reason we're 3-0 against the Spurs this year. They're a great matchup for us.

The good thing is the Spurs are the best team to take out the Thunder. Just need to avoid OKC and play the Spurs.

People shouldn't be underestimating the Blazers, much less the Spurs.

It doesn't really matter what seed the Rockets have.
This team as constructed won't win a Championship anyway.
Even with home court advantage this team would lose.
They are just too soft (except for Bev/Harden/Asik?Garcia)

Other guys in the rotation like Jones, Parsons, Lin, Motiejunas, Howard etc will get punked in the playoffs. Book it
