What power forwards are on a team we could trade Asik to beyond the Pelicans? There has to be someone that covets Asik.
Neither Minnesota nor Portland are going to make the playoffs with their current rosters. Minnesota might not realise that yet though but Portland certainly know.
Teams needing a center. Mavs- Marion + picks for Omer? Celtics- Courtney Lee/Brandon Bass + Picks 76ers - Thaddeus Young would be a pipe dream.... Maybe Evan Turner if we were lucky. New Orleans - Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith? Cleveland - Given the plethora of 4's there, maybe we could nab Thompson? Wouldn't mind Varajao at the 4, although not sure hes best next to Dwight. Milwaukee - Illyasova/Henson? I dont like Ellis, but Lin/Asik for Ellis is interesting. Bobcats - Gerald Henderson/Ramon Sessions? Miami Heat - Chris Bosh....pipe dream Lakers- LOL Sacremento - A bigger deal for Cousins?
Morey said that Asik as a backup center is more valuable than any 2nd tier PF. Assuming he was telling the truth (a BIG assumption), then he's not going to trade Asik unless we get at least a borderline all star PF back. My pipedream target is Aldridge.
Jimmy Butler and Gibson would be nice. Maybe Mirotic or the Charlotte pick. Still wander if Deng is available. The bulls have been shopping him for a while now
good list. i doubt asik's value gets split into two players of lesser value. not morey's style. it would be better to keep him if we can, unless he's really forcing the team to trade him. then you get what you can even if its not ideal (like a 1 for 2).
Ideally a veteran PF who can keep Harden from ballhogging and Dwights ego in check. Thatd be perfect.
Kings just signed Landry. So they now have Landry, Cousins, Thompson, Hayes and Patterson. Seems like Cousins can be had if we wow them. That would be AWESOME. Cousins/Dwight? Ouch for the rest of the league.
I still don't get why this forum loves Cousins. He's way too big of a headcase, too risky. He hasn't proven he can win games so not worth the gamble.
