    Comprehend what, exactly?

That America's enemies are not to be disparaged, only eliminated?

I have referred to the Taliban apparently in a manner that offends the high and mighty.

For that I do not apologize.

    Spare the sanctimonious "racism" bull.

Notice that I am referring to the Taliban. who the US Government apparently is going to war with. The Taliban who aided and apparently continues to aid the terrorist network that committed the murder of 5500+ individuals.

Since when has war become so sensitive?

Are some of you that jaded?

I quoted exactly what you can't comprehend -- apparently, you didn't figure that out, either. No one here is a "fan" of the Taliban. The fact that you make that statement shows your inability to comprehend anything anyone here is saying.

    this is hopeless...

I started this thread to find out what makes our country great. Unfortunately, I've found out a big reason why we're not as great as we could be...

    remember shanna-- Spurs fan...

Seriously, MrSpur-- what exactly are you trying to accomplish by throwing around slurs, when you damn well know that there are plenty of people who frequent this board (who are Arab-Americans, Middle Easterners, South Asians, etc.) who will be offended? What exactly do you mean by "Camel Jockey" and "Goat Herder"? Are you suggesting that you are really just selectively applying these slurs to the Taliban and terrorists? Or Again, no one here is defending them... if you looked at the ways that people talk about the human rights abuses committed by the Taliban against everyone who violates their versions of Islamic law, you'd know that by now... Is there a compelling reason to use these words-- "Camel Jockey/Goat Herder"-- in place of other phrases that actually apply to the Taliban?

Do you think that the members of the Taliban really even gets around Kabul on camels? Those guys all have IROC's just like you...

Gee, the brilliant and sanctimonious shanna, I guess it means you cannot disparage an enemy of the United States, eh?

So can you refer to the Taliban as 'hyenas' or 'jackals' or is that 'racist' too?

    What about 'mountain dwellers'?

    I'd really like to know.

Ah yes, calling for a 'ban'. Good show.

Our country is great because we can have an open discourse on extremely sensitive topics, with varying opinions, using phrases like "camel jockey","wifebeater","bass turd", and "mullet militia" w/o having to fear any legal or religious recourse.

And the show of idiodicy continues. Nobody called for a ban. He asked about "blocking", ie ignoring. It sets it up so the user of the ignore list won't see any ignorant ranting by a particular poster such as you've been displaying.

Ah yes, being a moron. Good show.

Lol, it feels just fine. I'd stroke it a bit more but it's starting to get a little raw and irritated. But thanks for caring.

Keep up the good work MrSpur. I'm sure there are a few more memos for you to miss to truly show the fullness of your ignorance.

MrSpur: "Camel Jockey" is a derrogatory phrase used to describe people of middle eastern decent and it is inappropriate in this forum. In case you hadn't realized, there are people who read and post here who are members of the Arab and Muslim community and your remarks are likely as offensive to them as the n-word would be to our African American friends here.

No one here asks you to be politically correct, but you are asked to at least be civil. It is part of what allows us to maintain a certain level of dignity and respect and what separates us from other forums around the internet.
