Seriously, after giving people hope for the future by trading for Batum and getting rid of Lance only to take it all away by draftibg another stiff? Has he learned nothing from Kwame, Biyombo etc? What is MJ smoking, is he hanging out with Vernon Maxwell or something?
well, seeing that he passed on 6 draft picks (4 first rounders) and probably a good young asset from Boston, I would assume he's smoking dab.
Cho makes the decisions not MJ. Sure MJ puts his input on what player to draft and its considered, but Cho really is the one who does alot of the trade/Draft moves. I'll give Frank a chance, he is not a bad player and he will bring something to Charlotte, its not like they had a Top 3 pick or anything. lol
Nothing but mid-round picks. Just look at the current Boston roster. A whole bunch of role players, maybe one or two stars and zero superstars. Also Philly is proving that second round picks are just like playing the lotto. A few players might end up being jackpots but most will never play in a single NBA game.
Yep, give Frank a chance. He should be a nice player in a couple years. He's in a similar situation like Motiejunas though, he'll need to hit the weight room and work on improving his body for a year or two. I think that pick won't look great at first, but it might be a nice pick once it's all said and done.
I agree. NBA fans value picks WAY more than they should. The NBA draft doesn't really work like the MLB or NFL draft. It's very very very very rare to find all-star players outside of the top 10. Getting more picks outside of the top 10 does give you more at bats sure, but it doesn't mean much. Frank may not be a surefire all-star player in the future...but he at least has a chance to be a starter or good role player with his skillset. Players drafted outside of the lottery are lucky to be role players. A lot of guys just never really do anything in the league. So having more picks doesn't mean anything. This is why you never really see teams move down within the lottery. If a team moves down, they will be getting a player back. Not the straight up picks for picks trade. You don't see any NFL trades where a team trades their #9 pick and gets a #15/#37/#68 pick back very often. The reason is the sports are so different. In the NFL you can straight up find hall of fame talent in the first 4 rounds. The NBA draft usually has a sharp decline in talent at some point. This year I'd say the draft was a bit deeper.
Cho didnt make the decision. It was mj himself. He is hands on owner and has given the mandate to win now and make the playoffs. But i dont blame him from turning down the offer. It was a pupu platter of low firsts and second rounders. (Some of the picks are so heavilly protected they will become seconds). The issue is trading a last year lottery pick for an expiring batum they have very little hope of resigning , not getting rid of big fat Al not getting rid of the useless paleolithic coach and now not even extending a qo to biyombo. Also i wouldnt pass over winslow for kaminski but well..
Winslow could be special, but his shot is suspect. It might be for the best for both the Bobcats and Winslow that they didn't pick him. Judging by MKG's progress at shooting, they might not be the best team to develop such players. If they turned out to have the same problem in the long run, then they just can't play them both.
Im sorry. Im not gonna blame the team for mkgs inabillity to develop a jumpshot. He had serious probelms from the time he was drafted. Some players learn some dont. What im going to blame the team tho is on keeping being big al and making shooting even more essential and also keeping kemba. Who is not a good shooter. Besides if they wanted a good shooter booker was still there for the taking. Ot but i think you are a raptors fan. Do you know if the raptors will renounce amir?
No, I'm a Pacers fan. But Amir is unrestricted free agent, so you could just sign him, and he's yours. I don't know if the Raptors will try to re-sign him. On one hand, Masai doesn't like losing his free agents, he prefers to re-sign them and shop them. On the other hand, Amir is an ankle surgery waiting to happen, he's going through ankle problems most of the time. He toughs them out and doesn't miss many games so far, but they are a constant problem. So re-signing him might be risky for them, depending on exact medical situation. I wouldn't target him if I were the Rockets, because of ankle issues. As to the Bobcats, I've heard some criticism of Mark Price (Bobcats) as a shooting coach from another coach. I'm no specialist myself, though. Maybe Mark Price is ok, and it's just MKG. Some teams are better at developing shooters than others, though. Bobcats haven't proven that they are good at it so far.
So little comprehension of concepts and information that can't be captured on a bubble gum wrapper being demonstrated here.
Busty Biyombo is now a free agent. Just another Jordan bust! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Sourcs: Charlotte has informed forward Bismack Biyombo that it won't tender a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/615633812404355073">June 29, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Biyombo, Zeller, Vonleh, Kaminsky...
How can be so stupid. It would cost them nothing to extend a qo! He could be a asset in trades. ...i think he will get 5-7 per probably from the celtics. Maybe portland shpuld get him.
