I went with my given name because I didn't know any better. I initially joined up to hear the World Wide Web's opinions on my favorite basketball team. then when it turned into the "Web" I found myself offering opinions as well. Then when it was the Internet I found myself posting songs and stuff. When it was the "Net" I moved into the hangout. Now that it is just whatever the hell it is now I use this site just like I do TV and radio.

but the name's the same. Chance. I dig it.

A dozen other screen names had been taken ... and I was watching that huge fire in Hollywood on TV.

I knew it!! I always wanted to ask this of you. I have about 6 of their best singles on MP3. Si... soy p*to y frijolero...

If you ever meet me, you will see my hairstyle is not of a FRO, not of a MULLET, not of a SASQUATCH, but it was a huge wig-like structure, since I let it grow so long and puffy for a play in High School. My friends saw this, and they said I had a "SWOLLEN" head. This stuck for a while, and I was all of a sudden "SWOLE", "SWOLY", and "SWO" for variations.

Around that time, Heavy D was doing that "ba-diddly-diddly-DEE" song with Sprite, and Heavy D was famous... then, the Mexican dudes that hung out with me started rapping the same song to "Swoly-D, SwoLy-D", and the name stuck since. If anyone from High School finds me on boards or CF.net, they will know it's me. Hey, it rhymes with SwoLy-D!

p.s. It's not "slow" or "slowly" or "swd"... it's SwoLy-D, and the DASH is silent.

use to be big into modifying cars

and i got tired of people asking if the car was TurboCharged, Supercharged, or blown...

rather than explain that it was basically stock with a few mods...
i just started calling it xcharged.

I remember watching Arvidis (sp?) Sabonis play for Portland when people would say his knees were shot and he would never be the player he once was, but he was still a cagey veteran, playing smart and skillfully, if not with the same athleticism that he used to have. It's just something moderately sports related I came up with when I needed a moniker for this site....

When I was a kid, I did all my science projects on the first rockets conceived by NASA. I'm also male. 95 was the average grade on said science projects.

It's an anagram for "Small cases", which is the kind I end up working on too often.

A while back, I was registering in another forum and I needed a handle quick to finish the reg. process (my old handle was a bit too adrogynous, and I was tired of people thinking I might be a girl; I had shared previous accounts with my girlfriend). Anywayz, it was around the time I saw the movie Spirited Away by Miyazaki, so I derived Mr. Boo from the character No-Face from that movie.

Yeah, we've always called him by his last name (Harrison) since we were in High School... and he was a bit of a ladies man and somehow one of our friends called him Harrisment like a harrison and sexual harrisment mix... and it stuck.
