Jock or no jock, we need some support in there. Eventually, it has to happen.

    Sengun and Jabari, yes.

Each of them shall block 1.5 shots per game this upcoming season.

I mean, our team is pretty set. I'm not sure where you can add anyone that would contribute significantly. Like, below is a rough projected depth chart -- what major change can you make? I guess you can replace Boban, but meh. The team is basically done sans trade.

    FVV / Amen / Holiday
    Green / Whitmore / Holiday
    Brooks / Bullock / Tate
Smith / Eason / Jeff Green
    Sengun / Landale / Boban

Actually, that's a good point, as Jabari will lead the defense. And, I thought anout his growth/maturaton on both sides..defensive instincts, that will be matched by his physical soon. He'll complete a lot of plays that he couldn't before.
But, I feel like we're going to also need at minimum, a big athletic specialist.

The roster is set. no significant changes are going to be made outside of cuts at this point.

You see what you have for the 1st part of the season and go from there.

This feels spot on. Expensive, and they'll likely never give him up, but would love to see it.

Robert Williams would be nice, but we really have nothing to trade for him. The big man is injury prone and giving away picks/young guys for someone that would a back-up on our team (should be) would be silly.

will they? It depends on how the bigs on this team develop which remains to be seen. Winning doesn't require having a Gobert as your big. In fact he's proven to be a weakness in the modern era

I'm fine with Landale as the backup for now. If we can get a Rob Williams or a Daniel Gafford or whoever for a reasonable price, that's fine, but I don't think it's necessary. Landale is a better defender than people realize and Sengun has the potential to be a solid-average defensive player. I think it's enough to build around and I think our perimeter defense could potentially be really good now that we got rid of KPJ* and added Bullock.

Yeah Rob Williams, Gafford, and someone like Nic Claxton come to mind. Good players, but probably looking for starter roles and minutes. Making a move for players of that caliber would require roster shifting, which is difficult to forecast at this point.

Operating under the assumption that Sengun and Jabari hold down the 4/5 spot, with Landale being the primary backup, I'd look at older vets, G-Leaguers, or young players content with 10-15 minutes a game.

Not a fun list of names. Surprised the Rockets did not bring in any FA/UDFA bigs for training camp.
