Well it seems Dallas is the standard.

Almost every town has its share of bandwagoners. The fact is, a lot of people just don't get into certain sports unless their home team is winning. I can accept that about the casual fan. Of course I hate it when people say the current winning team from another city is their favorite team.

As far as Dallas goes, I really hated the franchise back in the 80's (what Rocket fan didn't get tired of Derek Harper or Rolando)?. But I also like watching the team now becuase they are so much more fun to watch. I don't think you have to be a bandwagonner to enjoy watching a team. I think its just a welcome relief from the doldrums of iso offense.

So if Dallas is the standard, i.e. deep, talented team, then why don't the Rockets,

    1. just keep both picks,

    2. draft the best 2 players they can, and

    3. allow them to develop along with the rest of the team in a newly designed offense and defense.

At least they will increase their overall talent level, and show some long-term vision.

I'm just hoping for either the #1 or #2. Maybe the Rocks could turn that pick (a chance to draft Williams) into a certain SF in CA & a lower lotto pick, a 2 pick for 1 established player\2 lower picks swap, i.e. more talent and depth.

i agree, but until you can beat the team that's best, you can't be the best. so you find a way to beat that 7 foot giant. it's not impossible...
