    Pretty infuriating. But you know who isn't going to give Westbrook a pass? Paul George. He's out of there this summer and OKC is capped out regardless. It'll be Westbrook, Melo, and Adams trying to compete in an ever improving West. GMs won't make excuses for Westbrook either, OKC is stuck with him on a supermax contract as he enters his thirties. How many free agents do you think they'll attract when Melo's contract expires? This year was their best chance at making a run and it's been a total failure.

    People can make all the excuses they want, but the Thunder are irrelevant for the next five years with a series loss today. I'd rather be a hated title contender with a real MVP than a team that everyone needs to make excuses for. The Bad Boy were hated. Clutch City was disrespected. Doesn't matter cause they won.
