Jokic is overrated as a franchise player...he’s not dominant enough offensively 10 points and only 9 shot attempts in game 1? Really? The assists are cool and all, but c’mon.
I told you guys. Throwing games to avoid certain opponents is loser mentality. It just shows that you have no confidence in yourself.
Nobody wins a game going 6 of 28 from behind the arc!!! That's enough bricks to build themself a doghouse to sulk in.
They had a chance to choose OKC but they chose Spurs. Gonna be tough for them to get through Spurs. .
As expected, both the result and the way they lost. Dumb turnovers at the end and rushed shots all throughout the game. They’ll be better next game but it’s going to be a very tough series.
but Durant was go to guy. I meant it as a leader - give Jokić Durant right now and he will exceel too. It's different ball game when you are 'the guy'. Jokić is by every mean excellent he just have to learn what nba playoffs are about. It's not Denvers year that's for sure
It doesn't matter. Harden was a 6th man, but his performance was a big part in OKC's victory over SAS. Durant couldn't beat GS after OKC was up 3-1. He quit on his team and joined GS. That's his choice, but he can't lead if Curry leaves.
Look at Irving if it doesn't matter. Im not here to dispute against Harden because to me his leadership woes are long gone and he is one of the best at it. But im not gonna sit here and pretend Jokić is bad basketball player while he is one of the better of his generation. Remember what Pop did to Harden when he was already a Rocket? Bullshitty-gimmick offense wont fly with Pops in playoffs and that's what Denver is discovering right now.
I'm not talking about Jokic, there is no doubt that he has a long way to go. I'm not surprised that SAS won against them. Take your star player out and the rest will follow. SAS can win this series.
