    More "protesters" die.

    _____

At Least 41 Palestinians Killed in Protests as U.S. Opens Jerusalem Embassy

    • At least 1,700 Palestinian demonstrators were also wounded along the border fence with Gaza, the Health Ministry reported, as the mass protests that began on March 30 and that had already left dozens dead erupted again.
    • The relocation of the United States Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv was set for Monday, timed to the 70th anniversary of the formation of Israel — a move that many Israelis have celebrated but that has enraged Palestinians.

Is this a good thing? Is this something you are actually celebrating?

Are you seriously comparing Mexico/US to Israel/Pal?

So our forefathers did something wrong means we can't condemn it in the present day?

The Germans had a word for what Israel is doing, it's called Lebensraum

Well, yeah. It's a good thing that the invasion failed.

That's what you call it when a large group of people attempt to invade a foreign country. Hopefully enough of them get shot to where they stop trying to do it.

what type of a wall will protect the apartheid regime from their Allies!

"God says in Jeremiah 16: 'Behold, I will bring them the Jewish people again unto their land that I gave to their fathers. ... Behold, I will send for many fishers, and after will I send for many hunters,'" Hagee said, according to a transcript of his sermon. "'And they the hunters shall hunt them.' That would be the Jews. ... Then God sent a hunter. A hunter is someone who comes with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter."

In a statement by Rev. Hagee

That is from a sermon Hagee gave in the 1990s that has resurfaced. Jeremiah is talking about the Babylonian Exile, when the northern kingdom of Israel was conquered. The Bible talks about this period as a judgment by God because of Israel's wickedness, especially worshiping other gods, but always with a promise of restoring the Jews to Israel. I can't find the transcript of the sermon, but it looks like Hagee was trying to say that the Holocaust was something like another punishment by God (this is where I think their logic falters) and that the Jews were restored to the Holy Land after this punishment and founded modern day Israel. This is, essentially, why American evangelicals are so pro-Israel. So, I'm not sure why people wax scandalized by this old sermon.

Nook, let's not be naive. We know that these people are not "protesters".

They are incurring into the border region to test the Israeli defense network. Protesters do not use burning tires and trash as cover to hurl rocks at police.

In 2000, the Palestinians were outraged when the Israeli opposition party leader went to a mosque. Yes, he made the major transgression of going to a mosque as a sign of solidarity and diplomacy with the Palestinian Liberation Authority.

Suicide bombings were how Palestinians responded to that terrible event...of going to a mosque.

This "protest" now, just like in 2000, has very similar origins. The US is moving its embassy to Israel's capital. If this happened in any other country in world, we would all be in agreement about who is right and who is wrong. Sadly, we cannot agree on such a simple thing.

Please explain why protesters are "protesters" in your opinion.

certainly this guy's interpretation is beyond fish and Hunt and best selling books, his political influence is significant
"Hagee interprets the Bible to predict that Russia and the Islamic states will invade Israel and will be destroyed by God. This will cause the antichrist, the head of the European Union, to create a confrontation over Israel between China and the West. The book echoes predictions made in The Late, Great Planet Earth, the best-selling 1970 book co-authored by Hal Lindsey and Carole C. Carlson."

He's a figure of initiating the right aquarium for Armageddon to take place

You think people armed with burning tires are testing the defenses? I can save them some time by informing them that they will not find a weakness that can be exploited that way. Palestinians essentially attacked the fence to try to breach it. They can be killed by IDF while attacking the fence, or else get killed after they get through. It is not as if they could defeat and occupy Israel if only they could get past that fence. They essentially have no power or hope themselves, so the only thing they can do is demonstrate to the world their level of desperation that someone somewhere else might do something. Its violent, it's suicidal, but I'd call that protest. The problem here is not that Israelis shot Palestinians being violent, it's not Palestinians being violent and trying to breach the fence. The problem is how we got there, with a population of desperate Palestinians penned in, deprived, and persecuted by Israel so badly that they'd bring a burning tire to a gun fight.

We got here because in 1948 the “Palestinians” teamed up with Egypt, Syria, and Jordan to invade the newly established state of Israel.

Since then, it’s been one provocation after another by those same participants against Israel. This is no different.
