I'm pretty sure this stems from his rumored 1st Wonderlic score of 6 which lead to media reports of people asking if he was r****ded. So basically old joke rises again. For the record he retook the test and scored a 16, 10 is considered literate.
Mack Brown makes $500K to sit on his ass too. Strong might be making just as much when they fire him. Must be nice. http://salaries.texastribune.org/university-of-texas-at-austin/william-m-brown/638363/
I have some friends who know him through some business associates, and I can tell you that Vince Young is certainly nowhere near rich. He lost whatever wealth he had amassed to bad investments, and "friends" taking advantage of him. I'd be VERY surprised if he's saved up even 10% of his yearly salary right now.
I saw an ESPN article that said 16 and a different article that said 14. I choose the higher one to keep the VY lovers from blasting me for selling him 2 points short. Not that I really care I was just trying to enlighten the fans that wondered why he was be called r****ded.
Vince Young "dreams of playing more football," signs with Leigh Steinberg http://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/Vince-Young-dreams-of-playing-more-football-10935646.php
Maybe Vince and Johnny Manziel can work out together and prepare for their great comeback to the NFL. Maybe Jerry Jones could trade Romo and then sign the two legendary QB's from the great state of Texas. Oh, what a story that would be.
God bless him, he's the best HS/College football player I've ever seen. Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.
All signs are pointing to the CFL. Adding him to a Spring League roster would probably draw a few eyes as well. Good for him if he's needing to empty the tank one last time.
