Yup. Outside of Kansas, there isn't a game left on the schedule I'm not somewhat worried about. Picked up a commit today in 4* Athlete Peyton Powell. Herman is quietly putting together another monster class. Moved up to #7 in team rankings with a lot of big time prospects still in the mix, if not trending our way depending on how much you read into recruiting.
A night game in Stillwater screams "TRAP GAME" and I hope that Sam is really able to play well considering his AC sprain.
There's no reason to lose this game. Texas is the better team by a significant margin. Still, you have to play well on the road in the Big XII. If you don't show up, there's always a good chance of losing. At Oklahoma State Win 13 West Virginia Win At Texas Tech Loss (but depends on their health) Iowa State Win At Kansas Win The schedule sets up favorably this season. The tough opponents (other than Tech) are at home. Oklahoma State is down, and Kansas should be a win.
I'm very concerned about the next two road trips and actually have more confidence against West Virginia than Iowa State. But yes, Kansas will be a win.
Reading that Boyd and Davis were late to a practice and might sit out the first quarter. That’s pretty big considering our defense usually starts out slow. If true, you could potentially have an all freshman secondary to start the game (although I’m sure they’d have Locke or Jones in there as well).
What's the deal with not having a game time yet for WVU next weekend? Aren't these things normally decided 2 weeks in advance?
Good soundbite from Herman about reps for freshman RB Ingram. They are trying to keep his reps limited his first year to keep him fresh. They expect big changes in his physique when he goes through his first off season camp with the strength coach. They had concerns because of all the reps he took in high school.
That's a shame, because he's the only serious RB they have on the roster. I know he's been banged up with a knee and a (hip?). He's sadly the only guy they have who can make plays.
