USC has hired Florida Gulf Coast's Andy Enfield to be its new coach, the school announced Monday night on Twitter.

"Please welcome Andy Enfield (@CoachEnfield) to the #TrojanFamily as the new head coach of @USC_Hoops. #DunkCityUSC," USC tweeted.

The deal is for six years, a source told ESPN.com's Andy Katz.

Enfield was earning $157,000 a year at Florida Gulf Coast, but according to a source with direct knowledge, the USC deal will pay him "well over $1 million a year."

Can't blame the guy, he's gonna make 10x what he is making at FGCU. The way to succeed in life is knowing when to cash in.

So he should be loyal by staying at FGCU and risk the chance of never getting an opportunity like this again?

Great decision by him to take advantage of the run they had in the tournament that probably would not have happened again.

Seems like a knee-jerk hire at USC based on FGCU winning two games and advancing to the Sweet 16. Congrats to Enfield for hitting the jackpot.

    A 6-year deal? Wow!

Seemed like a douchebag move at first, but now I realize that this guy is taking advantage of an opprotunity that may only come once in his entire life. He's cashing in when he can, and frankly, that makes him a really smart man.
