We won't win a game against a team that has an elite, ball dominating point.

Luckily, according to the schedule, we're looking at a five game win streak until we play the Bulls!

    So... there's that...

We Need A Point Gaurd ASAP !!!

The value of a True poing Gaurd was on display tonight....

There is a reason why CP3 can make an average team play so well..

He controls the game in attack and defence...

Trade AB....for a true point gaurd who can control a game and defend. !!!

Tonight had NOTHING to do with ABs defense. Paul is a superstar and he acted as such. He hit shots you would expect a superstar to make. He hit shots with hands in hit face on fadeaways and around the rim. Its not like Brooks was leaving him open.

This loss had to do with NOLA having a superstar to close the game and the Rockets not having superstar. Nothing to do with Brooks

This reasoning makes NO SENSE to me.

"Oh he's a superstar. He makes tough shots. There's nothing we can do about it. He's just toooo good for us to guard. Golly gee!"

Did you see the shots he made, please explain what you wanted AB to do in that situation? He had a hand in his face, he was making him shoot off balanced shots, and was giving him little space.

I can literally see Brooks playing frustrated,
he doesn't look happy and he makes poor decisions all game long,
at the end he erupted something and was thrown out.

I think he maybe trying to piss off management for not signing him,
He knows he's forced to play well to earn a new contract, but he maybe just flat out pissed and showed it.

I say we give Ishmael Smith a hard look and a lot more minutes since i'm really confident when he has the ball in his hands.

Brooks overdribbles which leads to the shot clock running down and forcing a tough 3. The fact that he takes bad shots is overlooked because he'll make a few of those shots and then everyone thinks he's good. But really, we aren't going anywhere with our PG taking 3 point shots every time.

He was giving him little space? Paul was parading around the lane uninterrupted like we were playing four on five.

AB is messed up mentally right now, not sure if it's the contract situation or what. It's not just on the defensive end, it's on the offensive too, tonight he shot the ball well but committed turnovers and forced the issue too much like he usually does.

The refs sent AB to the locker room early to look for the jockstrap he left behind at half time.

no, what these games mean is you need a freakin' all-star.

all these "really" good scorers are fine and all, but you need a legit guy who can dominate for stretches.

Are you just being ignorant on purpose? Did you not notice Yao standing still in the paint for a good 5 minutes in the 4th, forcing Rick to take him out?

Paul didn't hit ANY easy or open shots in the 4th. He is a SUPERSTAR, there are a handful of them in the NBA that are capable of willing their team to a win no matter what. Houston doesn't have one

Paul gets to the lane on pick and rolls....Something everyone does who goes around a pick. The problem the Rockets have is TEAM DEFENSE...If any player is picked is up to the 4 or 5 to stop the penetration to the paint.

YET, not counting the Lakers (who are just a flat out better team than us), we have lost to three teams where the biggest mismatch is at point guard. And each of those point guards (Curry, Billups, Paul) are masters at controlling the game. Brooks makes no attempt to control the game or stop them from doing so. In fact, when we need buckets most, Brooks loves to take his "I haven't shot in awhile" three pointers.

I've been a staunch supporter of Brooks in the past. But this year, he just flat out isn't cutting it.

You don't let a superstar burn you... you DOUBLE team him... Rick Adelman needs to read "How to coach defense for Dummies"
