the entire defense looks good. Mario in particular looks like he is playing with more intensity, he is piling on every play, making sure the offensive player feels it.
I'm not worried about the passing game. I'm worried about the running game, and defense, and so far, both facets look good.
Kris Brown made an open field tackle. That's never a good sign if your kicker is making a tackle on a kick off return. However, it also shows that he can help do something on the field other than kick off and kick field goals.
I really think they are going to give it to Kris Brown. He has a bigger leg than Rackers but can he get it together mentally?
It has to be Rackers. Frankly, I don't care how Brown plays, he is a head case. It would be best for both sides to split. If he starts missing during the year, will will question why they let go of such a quality kicker in Rackers. If Rackers misses some during the season, I will at least be happy that they attempted to fix the problem.
Rackers and Brown have been pretty much equal in the preseason...I wish we could see them kick some late 4th quarter FGs though. But I think because Rackers was brought in and not the other way around, it's really Brown's job to lose and he hasn't done anything to lose it. Assuming he doesn't implode in these next two games, I think Kubiak keeps him.
I'm a bit worried about Dallas. (no, not really) but this is their fourth game, and it looks like they're barely trying.
What about the previous 7 seasons when he was fairly nails for the Texans (see the game against Miami when he kicked 3[?] 50+ yard FGs). Assessing talend should be on a season by season basis, not only on past performance. So far Kris has been just as good as Rackers.
Oh yeah, I wanted to see how good or bad their red zone offense was going to be. Texans just sort of scored.
Why do networks have commercials, come back to show a kickoff, then go to more commercials? Why not just make us suffer through a bunch of commercials, then show kickoff followed by the offense?
