For what its worth, the temperature is supposed to rise to 70 degrees tomorrow. Maybe the warmer environment will benefit us.

I will worry if the Yanks win today. We need the bats to wake up today.

like everyone on this board, its gonna come down to us getting some runs on sonny gray tonight. if we don't, we'll lose and that's it. I think it'll be 6-4 Astros tonight. lets get it!

I would make this the lineup today:

    1. Springer CF
    2. Altuve 2B
    3. Correa SS
    4. Yuli 1B
    5. Reddick RF
    6. Bregman 3B
    7. McCann C
    8. Beltran DH
    9. Marwin LF

Leave Springer at top and hope he can just get on base, move Altuve, Correa, and Yuli up a spot and get them as many ABs as possible...and have Marwin 9th so that he either can be almost a second leadoff guy ahead of Springer/Altuve/Correa, or if he still can’t hit anything, he’ll get the least amount of ABs

I'm concerned with McCullers today. While we can't have Verlander and Keuchel going every game, Lance has been terrible for a month + now since returning from the DL.

IMO, there's nothing to find out. They were on a shift, and he determined that if he dove and missed, that would probably lead to AT LEAST a triple, and maybe even an ITP HR. He let up at the last second to play it off the bounce, but it took a funky sideways bounce into the stands. John Lopez was pushing the "lazy, no effort" narrative this morning, and it annoyed the **** out of me. Maybin is ALL effort, ALL the time. He just made a mistake.

That's really what I was wondering. I mean why would he not play with effort?

And speaking of that shithead Lopez, him and dumbass Stoots were talking about how the pitch Harris made to Judge was a very good pitch. Judge is just a better hitter. MY ASS. That pitch was absolutely abysmal. It was almost as if Harris had never seen a hot-zone chart for Judge to know where he likes the ball. Lopez just pisses me off. Idiot.

Did anyone notice if Harris was shaking off Gattis?

A caller mentioned this on 790 this morning.

Harris may have dismissed a breaking ball for a - badly located - fastball.... smh

That Harris pitch was an ego pitch. Gattis said he wanted to throw fastball down and away or curve down and away. Harris said he was going to throw pitches he wanted and thought he had set Judge up. Not sure what tape Harris has been watching of himself, but he has zero reason to think he make whatever pitch he wants.

I was thinking the same thing... Harris shrugged off the first two pitches Gattis gave him and then threw a fastball right in Judges sweet spot.

Yes! That made the meatball he served up that much more irritating. Who did he think he was? Dumb, dumb, dumb!! This is the ALCS for crying out loud, you can't be stupid like that!

I'm ready for some baseball. Can't wait till 4pm! McCullers will be fine. May be a little to amped up at the start. I like our chances today. The Astros can hit Sonny Gray and hit him hard they will!

You could see Judge was licking his chops after he fouled off the previous pitch. He was locked in and Harris is a fool if he thought he could get one by him.

Lopez is the armchair manager/coach/GM of the century, no real in-depth knowledge about much of anything.
