As someone who has been watching and listening to trump very closely for last 4 years, I have a different take. Trump has a 'may be may be not' way of talking. For Ex: Obama is not a US citizen . May be may be not. If enough people bites, he sticks to may be . If pushed back, he says may be not. That is a pattern in every thing he says. Please observe I had my doubts that he was going to double down after that side of echo chamber took it and started to run with it. When the 'Old People' stepped in and were willing to die for economy It may not have been totally blowing smoke when he already had government scrambling to put good county and bad county list !! NYC death toll( ) may have something with him going back. Hence my elation, seeing Tony back and rest of the scientific measures back on table( atleast for now)
i think it’s one of the many many coping mechanisms on display to the whole nation for a fragile ego. Not having self publicly commit to something allow self to later claim anything.
If this turns out to be severely worse than it should have been, Trump and all those elected officials, whose actions aggravated the outcome, should be prosecuted for negligent homicide and possibly genocide.
This is one thing I keep thinking about. What favors is he asking Cuomo etc. in order to get federal help? Like... we know 100% he is doing this. Is there one person here who doesn’t believe that?
It is bullshit because it isn’t relevant and Trump knows it. A virus isn’t static. The high end infection rate is avoided by limiting contact and isolation. When you return to work and social gatherings before the virus is under control the infection rate greatly increases, which stresses the medical resources and causes massive fatalities. It is like comparing and apple to an elephant. It is a completely worthless and insincere comparison that operates for no purpose but to justify a faulty policy.
I'd hope that at least republicans that live in Michigan would consider this in November, but know republicans that support trump despite other offensive and horrible things he has said and done, I'd guess they will still vote for him, despite the harm he has caused their state...
