I cited that would be the best situation, it’s just not possible at this point. Testing 300 million Americans in such a short span when you can’t even test the highest risk is out of the realm of possibility atm

He's peddling the con to his base. Give them hope, put a shiny new thing in front of them...when the date gets closer and things have to change, he'll tell them that there was a delay because of someone else (Dems probably, governors as well) but a new shiny thing will be put out there just out of reach to continue to get them to follow along...on and on and on...Don the Con doing what he does best until everyone is dead and/or broke.

I am sorry but I dont buy your argument (unless you can provide clear details and specifics) because non of the experts involved have proferred that excuse

Fauci said it would have been nice to have the WHO tests as a back-up to the CDC’s tests, but characterized it as a case of hindsight being 20/20."

It can thus be inferred that there was an opportunity to have the WHO test but the decision was made not to. By all accounts that is the usual route taken by the US in the past and the only problem with it this time was that CDC screwed up in their initial development.

If it wasnt legally possible, someone would have own up to it and said they were barred by laws and regulations.

This needs to run on every tv station for the up coming election. When people die because of lack of equipment and tests.

Trump pressers are literally killing people: https://thehill.com/policy/healthca...ne-phosphate-in-effort-to-prevent-coronavirus

The epidemic is getting worse in part to people like you. Normally your trolling and whacky posts are funny, but you are crossing a line here into something that is, well, pretty much evil.

Spreading misinformation like this will cost lives. Maybe you don't care and you are that much of a selfish prick. But for once, can you put people ahead of politics?

3 weeks for that ship to arrive? While China's sending supplies to countries left and right we're still stuck holding our dick in our hands.

Of course those numbers would likely rise if we had tested more people. That's why Italy's death toll is so high , they only tested people who exhibited signs of the virus so most of their tests were positive and many of those died.

But honestly , we're beyond where testing matters with this being so wide spread , even testing "everyone" doesn't accomplish much because of how the virus spreads and the length of time it remains viable outside of the human body.

Isolation from new contacts is what stops this thing now. Stop the transfer to new hosts and this thing burns itself out.

Except that with limited resources, testing allows us to have information on where to use those resources. If we had enough resources then it wouldn't be as important. Also if we know a person has it then that person won't be out spreading it more. Right now, someone that has it could be out spreading the virus all over because they have no idea.

Here's a tragic case of just that happening.

It sucks because a group of people who thought they weren't at risk and some that didn't know they had the virus spread it all over the place. I doubt this is an isolated incident.

I think we all expect to see the case numbers increase to the point where the incubation period coincides with our isolation beginning.

Looking at today's numbers 9,262 new cases nation wide and again over 50% are in New York and just short of half (48%) of all cases are there as well.

I think we have to look at the point in time we began isolating and social distancing which was roughly the 13th of March in relation to the incubation period which on average has been 5.1 days but up to two weeks.

Between now and then , I'm not real concerned with the number of new / total cases other than limiting the damage - Its after that point where we should see a significant decline in new cases , if not ..... then we can hit the panic button.

Just saw his latest press conference and man he sounds like he has already defeated this virus and not really taking it that serious. Open and up and running again by Easter? Good luck with that.

DO you guys see what I am seeing? Trump is constantly downplaying Fauci and bringing Deborah Brix into the mix. He is doing it very consciously. Even when the question is to him, he intentionally stepped in and mentioned Deborah Brix.

Some odd dynamic going there. Hope I am wrong.

She already stated Fauci was someone she looked up to with great respect. He's walking a fine line because he wants to help us the people. If not I have to guess he would have given up this bullshit a while ago.

It's clear Brix is being more political and Trump likes that. She's towing the line and therefore she will be elevated upwards.

The goal here isn't to save lives, but to save Trump. Brix understands that's what is more important, and Fauci does not.
