https://mobile.twitter.com/ZekeJMiller/status/762686007309369344 Sounds like standard GOP fair. Interesting how much he toes the line given his whole outsider populist thing.
Getting rid of the estate tax - now that will really help the white noncolleges that he champions. We've seen this before. After having a week of terrible press, Trump reads off the teleprompter for a day and sounds like a standard issue Republican. People get bored. he gets bored. he needs ratings. He says/does something outrageous He can either be boring or offensive - either way, it's a losing strategy for this loser.
"Save the coal industry" is another great plan! But they forgot to add a bullet about "Make everything awesome."
The Child care one is nothing new. Its been proposed before. Generally Republicans just mention expanding the dependent care tax deduction/withholding. Trump just went a little further and said exempt everything related to child care. You're right that the anti free trade stuff is still different. But that's about it. That and his pretty blatant anti-immigration message. Even Republicans have long supported expanding components of our legal immigration system. Trump seems to have a hard line policy of restricting all immigration.
Did he explain to his suffering workers that only households with more than $5.5 million pay an estate tax?
I read his speech and it's not all bad. He did talk about making child care deductible and I agree with simplifying the tax code and reducing some deductions. Like a most of Trump's rhetoric though it is very very vague. He has no real proposals for how he would make great trade deals and his call to replace regulators with experts to create jobs sound like an open invitation for corruption and graft. Basically removing career people who understand the law and enforce it for public good with people who are more interested in business and money.
It's easy to cut taxes. It's difficult to cut the budget to go along with tax cuts especially when the current non-discretionary spending(military, SS, Pension welfare) pretty much equals current total revenue.
I've said it from the get-go: Trump's only objective is to eliminate the estate tax so that his children and grandchildren can inherit his billions and billions of dollars.
No Sam you're wrong -- on this BLESSED day Trump has truly changed -- gone are the days of a bombastic out of control MADMAN. Today we have seen a vision into the future -- today we are all witness to greatness.
I am not a Trump fan boy but lol at ANY Obama supporter for criticizing someone for using a teleprompter. Obama is Captain Teleprompter and comes off stupid when he doesn't use one.
Tax cuts, tax cuts, more tax cuts, deregulation, tax cuts, some more tax cuts, more deregulation. Boom! Economic utopia.
Another great one: "Remove bureaucrats and replace them with experts who know how to create jobs." Gee, will that be like thousands of people? Will the experts want more money at all? I mean why aren't they doing these jobs now? Aren't 99.9% of bureaucrats not involved in creating jobs?
If this is all he accomplished (along with protecting his Russian investors) I am sure Trump will be satisfied... bigly.
LOL, I love how people who are voting for Trump are so quick to deny supporting him: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10630169&postcount=6 Honestly, I don't care whether a politician uses a teleprompter or not. In fact, some of the greatest speeches were delivered using teleprompters. But if you want to point out anyone being hypocritical, http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/08/14/trump-presidential-candidates-shouldnt-be-allowed-to-use-teleprompters/ Now that is worthy of an LOL!
