Trump to defund schools unless they reopen for on-person instruction

Bravo to Fort Bend ISD for putting the health and safety of their teachers, students, paraprofessionals and administrators first in these trying times.

 

It’s so refreshing that the TEA is about as dense or callous as Betsy DeVos. Being unwilling to adapt with these trying times is not a good look, nor a good decision. On what planet should school districts not be required to create an online instruction plan, but be required to do so for an in-class plan? Then, they double down on their idiocy by not allowing a hybrid approach to learning.

It’s sad in 2020, they still think children can only learn primarily through in-person classes.

How the hell are we still arguing about wearing masks?

 

Those education “leaders” are doing a terrible job of leading during this once-in-a-lifetime crisis. I feel sorry for the students, teachers, staff and administrators in Orange County.

 

The fallacy of the both sides debate. How do you debate something so stupid?

 

Its always odd that the same 40% or fewer show up in almost every poll on virtually anything...

Hear in norcal my district is going hybrid, so in person. Not remotely surprised since it’s cali though.

 

... but sure, lets open up the schools next month.

 

HISD doesn’t get praised for many things, but they, like Fort Bend ISD, deserve to be praised for making this decision. Bravo to them for putting health and safety of their students, teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators first.
