We've also been repeatedly told by his supporters that we're not to take anything Trump says at face value, so I'm not sure where that leaves us wrt getting info from the Administration.

The trump presidency has been built to be run in secrecy... no regular press conferences, admin officials only speaking to reporters off the record or without attribution. The whole thing reeks of corruption and criminal activity.

Of course, there is so much irony on trump's "Do not believe any article or story you read or see that uses “anonymous sources”".

First, trump became famous for calls to press under the guise of other people (John Miller, John Barron, David Dennsion).

And second, trump lies continuously, making many specious claims attributed to "many people say" or "a lot of people are talking about".

I guess it wasn't a fair point at all and that's what I get for trusting the whining about media bias. The complaint turned out to not be valid at all.

@Os Trigonum Please check your sources.

Though, I will say the post that points out the inaccuracy in the complaint is the same source as the post that made the initial complaint. Was that their way of doing a retraction? Or are they trolling themselves to start an internet battle to gain attention among the .08% of the population that follows this stuff?

Sorry but if you're 54, you're an honorary boomer. You're old enough to remember the Vietnam War and Watergate as it was happening.

Also, if you watch Fox News, you're an honorary boomer.

Since it appears Graham's opening statement was falsehood after falsehood it seems a shame if any network carried it.

It seems like impeachment hearings might be considered more newsworthy than a hearing on an Inspector General report. I'm actually a bit annoyed by as much livestreaming of the House hearings as the news has been doing (I'd like to hear some news stories occasionally) but I can appreciate the historicity of the moment and understand why they'd depart from their normal coverage for this particular, exceptional case. So now I'm supposed to also tolerate a livestream of IG Horowitz explaining his report? There's C-Span for that crap. If Graham said anything very insightful, I'll probably encounter the 30-second clip somewhere eventually.
